My Feminized Autoflower just prodced seeds!

As the title says! This is my second grow, just one plant, Skunk#1 Automatic, and she is 80 days old!

I am guessing this is a "hermie" which I honestly don't 100% get. Does it mean I was stressing her? Even though she looked and smelled pretty healthy, with 16/8 hours of light. I wouldn't think so. My first grow was also same brand, but didn't seed? Does it affect the quality of the buds? Can I plant the seeds? Hmm, it is really interesting how would she pollinate herself. She's in a small closet, only one plant.

Any explanations are really appreciated it! I'm harvesting her today most prob.

sounds like stress at some point has been an issue.
there only 99% female and dependng on how the pollen was made comes into it too. like if the plant was stressed into becoming a hermie, this trait can continue down the line, not saying this is the case , but a possability.

80 days? with say 2 weeks to flip it, 8 weeks flower time that only leaves 10 days growth, have you messed the length of growth up or is that 80 days of flower time?

@go go kid I missed the length of growth up! But, I thought with Autos, you don't need to flip the light/dark cycle? I never thought self pollinating is even an option. Is it going to affect the quality?

Most trichomes are lookn brownish, most leaves are yellow, and I harvested my first grow also around the same time! Weeks? But she looks like sh is producing more seeds? How can I stop that?

If you're getting seeds, she is getting pollen from somewhere. She may be rodelizing, self pollinating, it is a trait in all strains just typically recessive. Look for anything that looks like a tiny bunch of bananas, yellow and everything.

Delete that trichome chart floating around the internet. Regardless of what the trichomes look like that plant is not ready to harvest. If you harvested your first grow when the plants looked like that then you harvested early.

Too many people are harvesting early because all they look at is the trichomes. There are many factors that can cause trichomes to amber before a plant is ready. That plant looks like it has suffered from some feeding issues which is why the leaves are turning yellow and dying off.

You can't stop them from forming once the plant has been pollinated. But those in the first picture have been there for awhile. You can see that they are almost ready to fall out. That plant was pollinated somehow weeks ago. Did you have any other plants when that started flowering?

@xtsho I knew she looked different than my first growth! And to answer your question, no. She was and has been alone in the closet since early vegetative stage. I am currently only growing one plant at a time, just for personal use. Self pollinated! I didn't expect this to occur whatsoever!
But, if I wait longer for harvesting, wouldn't it mean less and less harvest and more seeds?

Starved girl … it is trying to hang on and is depleting itself. Feed the god damn thing and RIDE IT OUT.

Screw what breeders “ tell “ you - they lie.
YOUR grow … Your skill and environment for that plant will dictate end result. Enough of the growers will agree on that plant’s ripeness is nowhere ready.

Harvesting now would diminish your harvest more than a few seeds. Somehow it was pollinated early on. Probably a few hermie pollen sacs you didn't notice in the early stages of flowering. You have at least several weeks until harvest. You will benefit if you wait. Forget about the seeds. Immature weed is worse than a few seeds.

Autos can and do Rodelize due to stressors …. Bad feed practices , overwatering, environmental conditions , etc.

It throws a “ failsafe “ in nature …. A survival response of sorts and will throw stamen to pollinate itself …. Seeds will be S1 . However it can also happen to be a mixed sex ir herm but thinking it wasn’t happy thru its life and hit rodelization. Seeds would be fine in most circumstances… i made S1 seeds by CS lower branches and pollinating itself on a couple mid branches ( tagged ) …. Harvest consumable bud at tops …. Seeds at lower.
Win Win.

Thanks guys! I will chill, feed her, and then wait how she turns out.

@Budzbuddha I'm honestly fascinated how she did that by herself, considering I'm still a noob, probably a lot will astonish me :p
@xtsho But, I shouldn't pull the seeds out with idk, a tweezer for example, or should I?

Plants do what plants do. However i would scrutinize your grow area - “ running “ temps / RH / good air exchange …. This way you can start to dial in the “ best “ area you can for future plants … that way you might catch an issue. Maybe even simpler bagged soil only grows ( minor top feeding ) as grow goes on. Autos need very little. Its a learning thing.
