Here is what I've got going.

I just received the Mars TS1000 LED lamp and could use some advice on what distance to keep it from the seedlings.
The manual says 24", but then I've read and seen others with it nearly on top.
Right now it's about 4" with the intensity all the way up.
Too close or too much intensity?
The temp is what it is and it wont vary by much.
Thanks y'all!

Hey whats up im in az too.. How many days have you been running it that close ? Thats a bit close. With leds you want to start higher then slowly lower it to the ideal height. I use a quantum par meter to find the sweet spot but without you want to start high.

Just plugged it in an hour ago.
You are cooking them.. Seedlings do not need intense light.. Try half power at 20"
Will do, thank you!

I've been struggling to find the sweet spot as well. I initially had my lights too high up and dimmed way down and they stretched. I tried 30" at full power and I think it started cooking them, so now I'm trying about 12" at 50% power and they seem to like it, but may need more time to tell for sure.

I am happy to report that my seedlings are about a 1/4" taller today.
I heard that the LED lamp makes a huge difference, and that appears to be the case.
I do have 2 plants with the first set of fan leaves turning yellow though...

I also have some 3 gallon grow bags and a couple bags of worm castings, but I wasn't sure when to transfer them.
I would put them in 1 gallon plastic pots before the 3s.. Gives a better root ball.. Transplant when you see roots in the drain holes..

I think I may have screwed myself at the start. I put them in those 3" Jiffy Pots.
I'd like to take them out but I'm guessing I'll destroy any root structure if I tried.

Get them wet and carefully cut down two opposite sides, then pull them apart.. roots should stay intact.. Wet the pots not the soil.. I don't like jiffy pots!

The jiffy pots are designed to eliminate removing the plant from the pot for transplant. Stunted growth seems to be a common thing if people just plop the pot into a new batch of soil. You can carefully tear the bottom off and drop it in your new pot if you have trouble removing it from jiffy pot and slice it down the sides. If you would like to remove it, just cut it off
