Yellowing leaves - unsure what diagnosis

Hi all. Thank you in advance to anyone that helps me with this.

Ive noticed that my plant is currently starting to yellow out at the top leaves and I can't seem to figure out why.

At first I thought maybe nutrient lockout because I hadn't been ph testing my water and I was feeding it with pH 7 water. Ive since flushed it and started feeding it with pH 5.5 water hoping to see better results.

I'm leaning on thinking it may be either light burn or maybe a calcium/iron deficiency but I'm not sure.

Any help would be appreciated

Strain: strawberry banana grape feminised
stage: veg
Setup: Coco coir, 600w hps (waiting on mh bulb)
Nutrients: general hydroponics flora, bloom and micro, and cal mag
Other important factors: watering with 5.5ph water, but run off is reading ~7ph.

feed to runoff everyday, dont let sit in it.Never straight water.Dont worry about ph runoff means nothing.EC runoff will tell you if your fertilizing properly.

Thank you for the reply. What do you mean by never straight water?
Coco is inert. So giving them straight water just starves them. Plenty of good info on coco here. It’s why it’s so easy. Feed every day to runoff. No need to feed strong it’s the repeated cycle of removing the old with new everyday that the plant likes.

Sorry don’t want to miss lead you. Straight water is ok between feeds but not to runoff. Hope that clears it up. Your plant is small and doesn’t look like you have a big grow op. So just a small feed would help. Then next time feed to runoff to pull out the old. Cheers.

So just to clarify then, you don't think there are any deficiencies?

I don't have an EC master yet but Ive ordered one.

Would you suggest in the meantime:
1. uppotting
2. Watering to runoff daily/ or only watering to one off once it's dried off

Coco is one that can be root bound. Feed everyday to runoff simple.
mig you have no EC pen then go by half of what the bottles say. Same with calmag. Feed to runoff and a good amount. Never let it get dry. You can feed her again in 24?hrs she’ll start to look better. Then I would up pot but not into anything too big. 3 gallon is good for a bigplant.

What are you exactly feeding her? And as Herb & Suds said, she really needs to be up-potted!
I'm feeding at about 4/5 the veg guideline for the gh series, and including cal mag using hard water. At the moment it's been feed to run off about every 2.5 days

well thats exactly what you should be doing, your plant just grows faster then the food lol.Try feeding sooner, and add some bloom no fear of overwater.

Thanks for the advice. I repotted and the new growth is looking a lot better.

I'm Watering with distilled water @ 5.8PH
General hydroponics nutrients @ half strength so:
20ml Grow per 10L
20ml micro per 10L
14ml bloom per 10L
5ml cal mag.

Do you have any advice on how to maximise my yield?

I'm thinking of taking a couple of cuttings in a few weeks and doing putting them through a 3 week veg before flipping as well as doing a scrog with the main plant. So I'd have a scrog with 2 little plants and one big one.

Would this give me a better yield than just doing a scrog with the main plant?

Get the watering right,.Feed to runoff, and have a good way to remove runoff. That and good environment will maximize yield.
