The only output of a diode (that does not emit light) is measured in thermal units (heat) maybe he's confusing how he heats his grow with light his grow. Both words have an H and a T in them. It's possible.

Actually I wrote a long-winded post earlier on in this thread about why I think he has some form of organic impairment. The fact he isn't capable of seeing it sort of reinforces my opinion. So although I feel guilty about laughing my gallows humor sustains me.
