with leds this is exceptionally true. Buy quality the first time or you’ll probably end up buying again. If you want cheap go down the diy route with either some Samsung or bridgelux strips and a driver from arrow or digikey.

if you want easier/less work you can go boards from someone like hlg or grow lights Australia. Gla is based in Perth if supporting locals is your thing and make a pretty decent board(I’ve got a few). They do diy kits and plug and play models

Bought a mates custom made china light for $300.. Then he tells me the more expensive samsung ones are $250... Busted lol..
It runs 5ow apparently

Bro my mate "custom made" bridgelux lights and charged me $300... he's glued the led strips onto a metal ridged bar... doesn't cost anywhere near $300 i reckon lol

its all good i got good genetics im growing atm, im talking about, my attempt to breed, zkittles and rare dankness cross seeds to hand out to mates,
or piss fart arround with later outdoors or in

couple of the zkittles x's i grew out last year were tasty as

what did that sting you bursto?
i ordered a 480w qb (spiderfarmer type) samsung 301b 660nm osram red meanwell driver. landed last week while i was in melb. $421 aussie door to door. very happy with it

sounds cool i got it for 340, but only paid 90 bucks so far on afterpay, that still spins me out
i already have two 480w QB's, this one is just a spare light to play with,S1000022.JPG

not to happy with the metal hanging straps, on that light, stainless wire shit flipping gave me a bit of a shock,

the other lights had a black plastic coating on the wire straps , much safer

i'll had to to pinch some off another light, got zapped about 6 times before i figured it out:mad:

Mate is that light zapping you? I don't think that is suppose to be happening lol

I hate those stainless hangars cos they get caught up on any little tiny hair on your arm or back of neck and pulls on em fucking annoying lol

its not a big zap its just when the light has been on for a while because the heat sink is metal, the hooks are metal and the wire is metal up to the ratchet straps the whole thing builds up like a small charge,

i might take the ballast off the board not a fan of that
