I’m having trouble controlling my temps. I had to raise my LED to about 28” above the canopy and reduce the intensity of the lights down to about 30%.

In order to bring the light intensity back up I am considering co2. I read that I can run higher temps if I use co2. I found these Exhale Co2 bags on Amazon. Will they do the trick? Can I run temps up to 85F using them?

Those things are worthless. There are people that will say otherwise. They're wrong.

Also, unless you have a sealed room you're just going to vent what little Co2 they may produce out of the grow area. I'm assuming you have ventilation that exhausts out of the grow area. If not then that would be the first thing to do to reduce the heat.

Ah hell, you’re right. I didn’t think about that. And yes I am running a 640 CFM to exhaust into another room with a smaller AC infinity intake at the bottom. I would just vent it out. Controlling this heat is almost as hard as figuring out how to water properly.

You need to cool the room you're tent is in.

-Use a more efficient led: for instance, samsung diodes @4000K+ run ice cold at full power. Plants love heat, im battling to keep temps UP and I live in a Mediterranean climate.

-If airtemps are hot, keep leaf temps down by not using IR diodes or HID lamps. Leaf temps need to be in their lower 30's C anyways so hot air is fine if your light is cold imo.

-Use a concrete wall on at least one side of your grow (or anything with serious mass), it will serves as a geobattery/thermal battery and drop your temps a lot by day and keep em warm at night again. It's how I ran cool DWC setups for years under hot HPS bulbs in small spaces.

-Run your lights at night. Watchout for DIF issues tho, but many growers I know still utilise this tactic.

Water is a great heat soaker upper. I line my flower room with gallon jugs along the wall and two 7 gallon containers all full of water. Really moderates the heat with light cycles. In the veg tent I keep the water/fert mix I'll use for the plants in there. Maybe three to 4 gallons. Time of day too helps if there is much temp difference between night and day. I run my flower room at night. Stays cooler during the summer and warmer in the winter.

During the non heating season my rooms run around 600-900 ppm CO2. In the winter with heat it goes up to 1500-3000+ ppm CO2. The buds are a lot denser with the high CO2. Less water/fert is needed too. Which may hinder the cooling effect. With the high CO2 in the winter my temps go down into the 60Fs with light off though. Summer time 75F or so.
