I clone 2-3 weeks into flower all the time. You can do it even with buds but they get mold pretty easy in a clone dome so that's only done as a last ditch effort to save a plant you love

I am in southern Ontario as well.
My "cop" friend told me, as long as you only have 4 plants in the later half of flowering, and only have 4 clones in veg, the cops won't bother you.
I had the police at my house a week ago, and we were standing next to my 5 plants, plus the 3 I watch for my neighbours. He didn't even notice or care.

Thanks for you comments. It’s pretty much what I was thinking. Pot growing is so prevalent now in Ontario I’m pretty sure cops don’t care if like you said have 4 in flowering and 4 small clones. Am sure they have bigger fish to fry.
As far as getting a licence I have decided against getting one for my 4 to 8 plants. I have an issue with government knowing I’m growing. And like someone said what happens when you forget to renew the license…am I going to have a drug raid. Just keep it small scale and enjoy.

This came up on the Canadian Weed Forum when it was still around; about a year ago, and I think we came to the conclusion that 5 or 6 plants was a $200 fine. I’m pretty sure that’s right, but not really interested in searching the government documents to find it. I grew 6 plants myself last year and kind of hid two of them about 100 feet from my 4, but I didn’t worry about it. I don’t know if they write you a fine and fuck off, make you cut 2 down, maybe they could make you cut them all down if you pissed them off enough; but I’m not sure. I think the biggest downside to growing more than 4 is it leaves you open to losing your pot if you piss off the cops in the wrong situation. But I think all the cops that used to be on the lookout for weed have new jobs. I scaled back to 4 big plants outside mostly because 6 was a lot of work.

I know a licensed grower that forgot to renew and got popped, so it’s a valid concern. At the level you’re growing it makes a lot of sense to go it without a license, I don’t believe the cops in Canada really have the desire to bust people for over limit grows, especially people just supplying themselves and maybe a few friends. There’s so much pot around, it’s stupid, everybody I know grows it, the cops mostly just ignore it.
The only catch I can see is if the cops are at your place for another reason and are looking for a way to bust your ass, then you know they could use that to mess up your life.

So this thread kinda went nuts... Im not sure how many someone would have to grow before authorities actually stepped in but I do know a few people who have 8-10 growing outside with rcmp choppers and planes flying over them all the time. It seems they over look these and move on to try and find bigger fish to catch

Yeah it sucks being an adult and renewing stuff like car insurance, registration, house insurance and stuff like that hey?

What happens when you let those laps because your too lazy to deal with adulting stuff?

Fact of the matter is

Most cops won’t give a flying fuck if you are a few plants over , there’s a lot of dick head cops out there too

Ive worked too hard for what I own to have it taken away for my own stupidity and lazy ness
