they hate the smoke, and the smell of resin and a lit bowl. but, i just tried to give the most apprehensive dog a piece of bud to chew on, and he tried taking it! so i said screw that, and gave him a stem instead. he loved it! him and the other dog both chewed on them for like 5 minutes. gooood booooys :weed:

Wicked bro, I've heard story's of people stuffing their dogs nose down the bong and blowing through the male piece haha.

haha aw.. poor doggies. ill admit i've held a dog and blew smoke down its nose before.. but i guess they didn't like it, they're very keen to when im smoking some weed, they dont point their faces at me at all when i get near them, i can tell they know what's going about to happen. :-( so i dont do it anymore. if I did it and they begged for it, i would do it all the time. anyone have any dogs that actually like it? i think it's kind of mean to do it if they don't, i know it's got to hurt their tender noses :-(

I have 2 dogs. One likes the smoke and the other is afraid of it. Both of them love to eat bud and stems. I have to make sure I put my stash somewhere safe.

I have a little miniature pinscher and she LOVES weed. Wags her tail and begs when I'm packing, and then she moves in the direction I'm blowing the smoke in. occasionally, I blow it in her nose directly. but I don't hold her down, she sniffs it all up. whenever I pick up, my parent can tell because she'll be rubbing up against me and sniffing. She's eaten my weed and stems that I've left out. She's a total pot head and even though she's 9 years old, she acts like a little puppy when she's high.

pot is poison to dogs and cats if the dosage is high enough. be VERY careful letting your animals chew on/ingest cannabis (any of the plant matter).
I was not aware of that this at all. When I was in High school we use to smoke out my parents dogs all the time.

Even still I give them stems every once in a while. Any idea on what kind of dosage would be lethal?

Be careful man! Be VERY careful!

I had a dog before who i did the same, gave all my leftover stalks to chew on, but he didnt like smoke either. He developed a meat like instinct and desire towards it
Once after a period of not giving him any stalks he chewed the shit out of my right hand (the one i smoke spliffs with) prolly cause it smelled like weed and looks stalky with the fingers. Long story short i now longer have a right hand.

I repeat DO NOT give your dog stalks, he will disable you for life!

the smoke isn't as toxic (i think) but the plant matter is. i've had cats get sick from half a dozen leaves, and heard of dogs getting very sick from eating a handful of trim.

my ex groomed show dogs..she had alot of dogs(4)of varying breeds..her terrier ate an 8th and was looking like it was on deaths door, and we didnt know it ate the bud..toom it to the vet..recovered in a days time..we asked the vet what was wrong and he alluded to the cause, and hinted about keeping dog away from "anything a person might consume..."
next time we found the dog "dying"(yes,it ate another bag weeks later),we left it on the floor..lol
but personally,i feel giving animals drugs is not right..kinda almost like getting your 12month old kid high imo...i wont be a hypocrite and say ive never done it,but after reflecting on the subject,i decided it was bad and havent since i made that decision...
onions and chocolate are bad for puppies also.
