@Tracker ... We’re taking a short break for about another month before we clone up some mothers and fill the room. Trying to avoid Croptobers market drop. I’ve enjoyed the break.. we’ve been to Alaska, and a couple of Casino Resorts, but I’ll be ready to get back at it soon. Outdoor stuff is doing good... lots of fucking grasshoppers this year!, but we’re going to turn it into RSO anyways, so as long as they make bud, even ugly bud, it’ll be ok. Your garden is looking stellar!
Thanks man! I'm trying to stay on top of it. I know it looks like dessert for every bug out there.

I saw those pics from Alaska. It looked beautiful!

Enjoy the break!

Got out there today to check on them. I’m not doing anything for them, just water if they start to droop, but otherwise, just letting them do whatever they’re going to do. View attachment 4969208View attachment 4969209
Wow, those are waaaay ahead of mine.

What do you figure that is on the leaves some kinda fungus? I have a plant that developed a bunch of those type spots that I'm using as a test case for foliar. I stripped the shit out of it removing the all the diseased leaves and sprayed it with a tablespoon of neem oil and Dr. Bronners every four days or so and I "cured" it only to find that once I stopped the it started up again a couple of weeks later. I'm chalking it up to shitty genetics but I have a bunch of other (not cannabis) plants in my yard that seem to be suffering from the same stuff.

No bud rot but I'm still kinda thinking I won't smoke it.

Can you post some pics of it?

This looks like the leaf septoria that has been plaguing me. Not so bad until it gets into the sugar leaves and ruins the flowers. Long, slow torturous death.

Yep!... I was going to destroy these 11 plants at first, because they were “retired” mothers, so I just stuck them in a hole in the compost pile because the timing was right to flip. Don’t really care if they make it or not..IF they do, I’ll make oil. But so far, it looks like they may be on a death spiral.

From what I understand about leaf septoria, it comes from nearby cedar trees. You got any near your area?
There are several kinds of fungus that cause leaf septoria. It has affected everything from the elm and mulberry trees, to the ragweed and tomato plants around here. The hot, humid conditions we have had again this summer have made it epidemic, there is no escape. However, spraying sulphur seems to have given me a fighting chance.

Yeah... my whole apple/pear orchard is covered in this shit.

Not that I know of but we live in a pretty suburban area. I don't believe my next door neighbors do but it's fairly forrest-y and it wouldn't surprise me. I have four cultivars growing right now and three are not really affected but one is a magnet for that stuff and I moved it away from the others but I might just kill it and just be done with it. I did my tests with the neem/soap foliar in veg and got a decent handle on that but I'm not gonna spray them in flower so just getting rid of it seems to make the most sense.

I did have a decent thought though, maybe there should be a midwestern outdoor growers thread where we could share experiences on cultivars that do well in our growing climate. Or maybe that's are ready here somewhere.

Bodhi's DLA 12 seems impervious to the fungus scourge so far and it looks to be a fast and frosty finisher with an old school (ya know before weed had names lol) nose to it.

Start a thread. I'll follow it.

I have a gnat problem that just started. I am on day 97 of flower and do not want to use any chemicals. Does anyone have any tricks for getting rid of these fuckers.

Yellow sticky traps everywhere, and find a BTI soil drench to kill the larvae. However!... Fugus Gnats are more annoying than harmful at this stage in your grow. You're on day 97, so you're close to the finish line. Maybe just the sticky traps till the finish.... So, you're on like week 13???
