I was never that dumb to go in on a tiny grow with 10 friends

so no experience there sorry.
Crazy and here I was thinking I would get to interact with people with information and not judgment. If it's helps your shallow mind maybe imagine the situation thinking it's just one person doing it. If you can't contribute anything to the situation even then.. Well maybe you shouldn't be on this thread. Thanks and bye wise ass

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. It's going to be LED and the true watts is 1100x4. It's an old storage house about 10x10ft with old roofs. We are planning to renovate that a little bit and then install an 8x8 tent inside. Yes I already have a 40 litre dehumidifier. I know I need to get sensors. I was planning to get the apogee sensor and other sensors for co2 but will I need a controller?
Ok since you want to run a sealed tent with co2 you’re going to need AC, what’s your plans for cooling? I see you have a 40L dehu already, that isn’t big enough for that sized space So you’ll need to buy a bigger dehumidifier too.

What’s being said is don’t invest to much personally. Because this little gig you have will 90% end terribly. And odds not in your favor. Your friends will bail, steal, or say they do all the work and want a higher cut. Someone is going to say they put more money down. Some one is gonna be the reason anything could happen because they were the brains. 2 people can barley grow together. What make your group of 10 so special. What are you guys. Stand by me. Blood brothers for life. Found a dead body together.

The failure rate for coop grows are so high
a large group grow prolly much higher.
(Essp in a 8x8 lol)

but good lights. Clean environment decent media and rock solid agreement between your buds. You might be okay.

Have a portable AC which is pathetic. I want to get a new AC. Do you know how many BTUS I should be getting? And done I'll get a new dehumidier too. How many litres would be ideal?

What are your expectations out of this endeavour on final yields from this 8x8 tent Per run?

Do you have a veg area ready to stock the flower area once harvest is complete?

I completely understand. I'll handle the interpersonal relationship of the situation in due time but it's my space and I want to get all this info cause in the future I might do it by myself too.

I want to create a stable environment with 4000 wattage of led in an 8x8. I know it will make life easier if I go with 4x600w but I wanna try and dial in with 4000w if that's possible. Yield wise no expectations. Just want to be able to create this atmosphere. Want to learn new things. We don't plan on successive grow in this place. So no I don't have an extra veg space.

I would go with a 32000 btu mini split. i Take it you have at least 2 30A dedicated breakers for this old decrepit shed? You’re going to need to figure out drainage for the dehumidifier and run off from the plants.

I’m pretty sure bk is right here.
I mean it’s not like your putting together a multi million dollar facility or something.
Who is the growers? There has to be one captain of the ship?? Why not just find the friend with the most cash and cut everyone else out?

I mean even with a perfect dialed grow your gunna yield less if you just put your own 4x4 tent and had no partners.

32000 BTU? Are you sure? The outside temp is 78f or less most of the time and the entire room is just 100sq ft. 32k BTU can cool up 2500+ sqft right? The dehumidier I have now has auto drainage and it's mounted so I just drain it outdoors using gravity and as for runoff I'm not concerned I'm doing an RDWC. Yes I have sufficient 30A I'm not gonna fry my circuits like that

Guys all of you are forgetting that I'm seeking grow advice and not relationship advice. I have it sorted. You guys are quick to roll out opinions without actually knowing any context about it but I appreciate that you all are looking for my overall wellbeing but like I have mentioned in my previous comments I'll handle it. Thank you. Now help me with the technical aspects of the grow

Cut all btu in half. One thing I learned working at home depot. If you want to cool a room to expectations. Cut the standby btu in half or double what you need. Otherwise you’ll end up back in a week saying it’s not cool enough.

im 100% sure. You’re dehumidifier you have now won’t do Jack squat when that room is full of foliage, hence needing a bigger one. The bigger one will put out a lot of heat , hence the bigger ac you’ll need. 4400w will also put out a lot of heat, hence the bigger ac needed.

If you cutting this equal portions. Might I recommend you start a 4x4 yourself. Cheaper and prolly much higher yield.
No guys talking to you all I realised I'll just go it myself. It was supposed to be a fun grow cause I thought I wouldn't be able to do all of this on my own, I mean I have the funds but didn't think I could pull of all the work by myself so I texted on my group asking if anyone was willing and 90% of the people were so now I'm just gonna cut them all out and become a loner on this provided I'm able to synthesize all the information about the technicality properly

Im sorry I don't understand. So to cool an 100 sqft room with 4000w how much BTU would I need?
