Good breeder for Afgan/Hindu Kush seeds?

I was just looking at the kwik seeds site and noticed their contact email is [email protected], thanks for letting us know that they are legit.

No problem mate tbh there both mostly a one man band i think cos obviously he must have some other people working for him but any time i sent a email to either site its usually angus that replys so he pretty hands on with both of em

They both have the same street address listed as well. I know in the past they shipped to the states through KwikSeeds and they had a message on the website that US orders could be purchased through them. That message is now gone. They're probably just using the existing shipping methods to the US but let you make your order on the RSC site.

I might have to get some of these Kush genetics while they still exist too. Anyone know if the "Tirah" strain in their catalog is the same as the "Red Khyber" landrace that was popular in Spain (still is for all I know)?

I don't know but there's this from the website you likely read. That's all I know.

That did get me thinking about it, as well as the pistil color. I'm growing out a Red Khyber cross soon and am thinking of getting some of these Tirah seeds if I like it.

there's a seedbank called Afghan Selections. I've never grown any of their stuff so can't comment on the quality.

I grew Master Thai's Tahoe OG but it's believed to be an old Afghani. It matches the description almost exactly as the Purple Afghani Kush S1s from Mz Jillz (which are available) I was happy to find this Purple Afghani pheno it's dank & definitely some old school hash flavor.

I was shopping for some Jaws Gear & he had some Afghani F2 x Pure Afghani freebies so I snached those up to do some breeding with. 3 different Afghans crossed together should be fire! I want an indica in my lineup that's not OG, Cookies or Chem

I recommend you check out Authentic Genetics Seed Company. It has collections from guys who connected with the oldtimers and are the real deal. One of their missions is preservation of landrace genetics. Mel Frank (one of the authors of the seminal growers guide) has teamed up with Bill Drake, (genetics/breeding guru) and Todd McCormack to form AG. I was lucky enough to meet Mel around 1980 and was gifted a pack of Afghani, and it was the real thing. Recently I connected with Mel and Todd through AG Seed Co. and purchased a few packs, delivery was fast and everything had 100% germination. No question in my mind they are top-shelf genetics. You could argue all day about what is "authentic"... and the twists and turns taken by a strain before making to today's market. What really matters is "what is the end result this season?" I say you can't go wrong with the AG offering because the results speak for themselves.
