Do you only grow weed?

My tallest okra plant has topped at 13’ 6” and is still bearing woot! Peppers are getting weak, squash is long gone, still getting maters and okra, a few green peppers are still hatching. This is wifey’s section of the garden but I’ve sure cooked up some good bug brews thanks to these plants. Plus it gives me a better idea of the health of my entire garden.t

I grow veggies too but it was mixed results this season as somethings did as expected and some totally flopped. I blame dam near 2 months of almost daily rain….

Excess rain wiped out our squash too and that’s my favorite. We got a good harvest first but I could eat that year round I love squash.

I grow all kinds of stuff all year long. There's something for each season just got to plan ahead. I grow perpetually in my garden beds. I'm planting fall crops as I take out the spent summer crops. Some stuff will overwinter like onions and garlic. It's been a pretty good year. I canned another 4 pints of beans today and have some tomato sauce on the stove right now.

One thing that doesn't grow good at all is Okra. But that's because of the climate here in NW Oregon. I still try growing it and do end up with a few but hardly worth the effort. I'm pretty much just wasting space. We only have about a month of good okra weather before the night temps start to cool off. Maybe next year I'll start them indoors and put them outside for the hottest part of the summer. I think they need a good head start to be successful here. I'll try again next year.

My okra looked pitiful until it got hot, then it was a race to the sky! It’s been our best producer except I can barely reach the top now from the top step of a 5 step ladder lol. It’s good too because it’s my second favorite. I planted several blueberry plants and a couple pear trees too. I can’t believe I’m this old and am just now discovering gardening.

Lol yes I saw that after I posted the pic, was just waiting on someone to catch it. You win! (I think tomatoes taste like something you’d pour down a clogged drain so she can take care of it lol).

My pear tree is finally producing fruit this year. My blueberries have been kicking out tons for a couple years now.

They have some russeting but I did some research and that's pretty common with the Comice variety. They're a late variety so it's going to be a couple more weeks or more before I get to eat these delicious pears.

I only grow things like Brandywine toms, Athena cants, and leaf Lettuce. If some of the people on this forum would devote a tenth of their cannabis growing time to Brandywine tomatoes they might be better off.
I also grow peaches, grapes, apples, nectarines, cherries, plums, and pears. All of these things have the best cultivars just like cannabis. And if you get them from a store don't expect much.
Anyone else here make perry?
Any fans of Buerre Bosc or Doyenne du Comice? That's food for gods.

Use it to make a BLT. Bug, lettuce, and tomato sandwich.

Aren't those Comice good. If people only knew. I would get it on OHXF87 size controlling root. You can keep that down to 6-8-9 feet.
I'm surprised there is not more research on cannabis roots.

That just means organic to me lol
