I think you're missing the point she was making. She didn't pay a dime to attend. She was invited as a guest. She showed up wearing that dress knowing that most of the attendees did pay a substantial sum to attend. She wore the dress as an "In your face" statement to the wealthy that did pay to attend.

There were hundreds of people there. It was going to happen whether she showed up or not. She didn't pay anything, she was given a ticket and she came there with a political message. She got the message out. Tax the Rich. Meanwhile, you oozed a dumbass and illogical complaint about her attending the event.
