Well I just pulled the trigger and bought the green ones. That is officially by far the most I've ever spent on shoes at 135. But I had a really good year and didn't get myself anything for my b-day. So that's how I'm justifying it. I guess technically I bought these Tims for my birthday… but they were for work.

Those black ones are so awesome! They look really comfortable. I should get a pair of those for my husband .

Platform shoes and an English Walnut broke my wife’s ankle about 25 years ago.

Orthopedic surgeons made a lot of money off medial and lateral malleolar fx from platform shoes You'd think drywall stilts would have been represented but nope.

My sister had those. They were so ugly. Lol. Why did they call them earth shoes ? I don’t even think they had recycling back then. Lol. When I was a kid growing up in NJ there was a local weekend Flea Market we would go to . Booths of cheap weird shit was being sold by locals. Some people sold shoes at very low cost. And because I had just some change I was able to buy the 10 cent platform shoes. So a Started a collection of them and had like a huge box of them . I never wore them . Lol. So dumb .

It wasn't so much ecologically friendly as I think they bill themselves now but your foot's conformation in walking more akin to being barefoot. But don't trust my memory LOL

Some stuff is so ugly it's cute. Although my husband for a long time thought I was a lesbian because I liked clogs. I don't think he had met many lesbians but it was an interesting conjecture on his part.

Sketchers...I love them! Top row retired to work shoes, and bottom row a new pair of Sketchers slippers I'm about to try out. 4 out of 7 pair are slip ons...saves on the bad back!!

Haven't heard of that "revolutionary" footwear since 70's........that footprint in the sand that supposedly was impetus for design.......long time ago....back with Dr. Scholl's (spelling?) wooden , exercise sandals and polyester.

But otherwise vans slip-ons, leather work boots (rarely) or my asolo's last pair lasted 7 hard years. I have a few different insoles for them depending on the time of year. My new pair feels exactly like the first pair.....perfect.

My feet are too wide for most major brands. I can do Skechers xtra wide, but I just wear slides everywhere.

I’m the same never tried the Skechers, I generally buy shoes off the net now. There’s not much choice in store over here for size 13 extra wide.
