His career is over? Wait, was he still doin shit? LolThe gun he was given was supposedly "Cold".
I don't care if they have someone called an armourer on the set that's supposed to make sure the gun doesn't have a live round. If I'm pulling the trigger I'm going to have inspected any firearm before I do. Who points a gun and pulls the trigger towards someone trusting that it's not loaded? I could care less if a thousand people said they checked it. If I was pulling the trigger with it pointed at someone I would check it myself.
I was reading about the procedures they use for firearms on movie sets and they need to be changed. If I was going to be the one using a firearm in a scene I would insist on being present when the gun was inspected and would not let it leave my custody after that. It appears they just handed Baldwin a gun and said it was "Cold". So like an idiot he just assumed it didn't have any live rounds. The guys a twit. It would have taken mere seconds to clear the gun.
How does a live round get into a gun during a rehearsal anyway? And why were they not just using a prop gun? Lack of chain of custody as well. This was totally preventable.
It probably won't happen but there are at least 3 people that should be charged with criminally negligent homicide Baldwin being one of them and they should all receive jail time. Unfortunately they'll likely only end up paying monetary damages in a civil suit and Baldwins career is over. Which is deserved since he was a producer of the film and ultimately responsible for the cluster f*** that caused a death.
Yes an accident but a really stupid one. I just can't imagine pulling the trigger on a real gun without checking it myself. Anyone handling a real gun should have basic firearm safety training which apparently Baldwin doesn't have. You never pull the trigger without knowing for yourself. From what I've read this morning, he was practicing his quick draw for an upcoming scene, possibly even hand tricks with a real Colt .45 from the era.
The armorer prepares the guns, the AD's are actually in charge of set safety. An assistant director handed him the gun and shouted "cold". He's the one who double checks the load.
I don't blame Baldwin, it was a horrible accident. I seriously doubt there will be any charges against him.
Well he was making a B grade movie so I guess he was still doing something. Probably would have been best if he had just retired. His career is over? Wait, was he still doin shit? Lol

And Baldwin is a big Anti-gun individual. Yet here he goes and kills someone with a gun. It’s Murder. He killed her. He should be held responsible and face time. Anyone that picks up a weapon with the potential not just to harm someone but KILL them with one squeeze of the trigger better check that gun before pulling the trigger. It’s called personal responsibility . Just because he is a Hollywood movie star should not be just cause. When is our society going to stop glamorizing guns? It’s quite unfortunate that Halyna’s death is yet another life lost to gun violence.
Let me know the difference between a blank and a live round I’ve shot both and besides powder weight they’re no differences I fully believe somebody should be held accountable but would you hold a driver accountable for a tire falling off the car he was test driving no you would hold the dealership accountable who would In turn hold the mechanic accountable I mean wow your post is just anger fully agreed guns and radical people are a problem and gun safety should always be first and foremost when dealing with things like this but not all events are that clean cut there are many mitigating circumstances with this you have professional armorers who’s job it is to load check inspect and provide the safe firearm You also have a chain of handling with firearms like this where it is handed from a merit to producer to actor on set to avoid accidents which is what this a accident and should be treated as such just a shame a person or multiple persons lives were affected including mr. baldwinsIt’s Murder. He killed her. He should be held responsible and face time.
