One of the only lights that I can find with Adjustable Red/White/Blue Channels in this size.
I've included a picture of 4 PAR450s in their configuration for a 4x4 tent. Each is 200 watts. For me, The smaller footprint allows a more even distribution of light than one large one. This size and diode density is perfectly spread across and area of approx. 3ftx3ft which easily packs in the photons for a 4x4 or 5x5 tent.
I am an advanced cultivationist. Part of what I do is use different colors of light to control my plants. For those of us in this category here is your last vestige for light control before we have to work with full spectrum. I purchased these recently when full spectrum lighting for the masses is prevalent because of the advanced spectral control.
Their output is adequate to good for my purposes. I grow plants that require intense light to create beautiful flowers of which this answers the call. At 600 micromoles/m^2/sec @ 24 inches this gives me a DLI of about 29 moles/day. I run about 12 to 18 inches away from my canopy during full flower without problems and can get a DLI of about 50+.
Their construction is top notch. Heavy gauge painted metal gives this a heavy feel but you can tell it's built like a tank. The clear cover over the lenses protects the diodes sufficiently.
The fans are mounted on the underside with venting up and out to the sides. This helps keep dust off it more than a top mounted fan would but as always keep them clean. Venting is easily accessed for cleaning and very straightforward.
There is one downside. The efficiency of the new SMD devices surpasses Epiled/Bridgelux LEDs.
