Trying to get opinions before I change everything around. I know I've read about someone doing it before but don't remember the outcome. Does a submersible pump have to be submerged? I know they are made water tight so water don't get into the electrical part but does that make it why it has to be submerged? I know the intake end might need some tweaking to make it water tight. Since its sealed does that make it have to be cooled by the water also ,or? I have a brand new 2700l/h or about 12gpm submersible pump that was given to me and I'd like to use it if possible. I know it will probably put a lot more heat in my rez and summer temps are a pita as it is. One day I'll have a chiller but not in the near future. I run a 25 gallon RDWC and my water pump is connected to a spray bar so I don't have to have an air pump also. Holla lol thanks RIU.
