That's a first for me. Definitely sounds interesting. I'd give it. Doubt you caused it. Might have triggered it but I guess we'll never know.Hey again Harley….I read that article by Ca Light Works a few days ago, but thanks for sending it over.
The pots are light and I’m gonna feed tomorrow. The last two times it’s been a small dose of Big Bloom only, which is organic and a very diluted composition of 0-.5-.7. I fed only 15ML per gallon. It seems like in the last week or so the buds have started to produce these really really thick pistils. When they first exit the calyx they could fool you for a nanner. But they quickly separate from a big ball into individual hairs. They’re growing everywhere. I’ve read about certain plants that continue to produce these types of heavy thick pistils indefinitely….even after the trichs are turning amber. I dunno…the plants have been stressed a bit and perhaps that Is having some effect.
I have some organic Buddha Bloom, which is similar to the Big Bloom I’ve been feeding. The main difference is it’s less diluted and Has a touch of N…..it’s .5-2-1. I was considering giving an equivalent dose of it in lieu of the Big Bloom.
Do you have any thoughts on the sudden influx of these unusually large pistils? And am I screwing up by giving the Buddha Bud??
i looked and looked online and I’m pretty sure it’s foxtailing….not the bad kind but def looks like it. Every pic of strains that had foxtailing genetics looked exactly like I’m describing. This pic for example is what I’m seeing on my buds. That's a first for me. Definitely sounds interesting. I'd give it. Doubt you caused it. Might have triggered it but I guess we'll never know.
I get foxtailing every once in a while. I stopped worrying about it since I'm not selling anything. It's hard to trim pretty. But otherwise it smokes or gives it up for extracts just fine.i looked and looked online and I’m pretty sure it’s foxtailing….not the bad kind but def looks like it. I’m taking your advice for sure. They are autos and I’ve been running 18/6 at close to full intensity. I turned the intensity down a smidge and added an hour of darkness on both ends….so 16/8.Try reducing light schedule to 11/13 and reducing intensity
