Lollipopping before flowering?

Ok the original question has not really been addressed, or I missed it. If your going to get 16 huge colas off those 2 plants you need lollipop them soon. I think your way off, so you might as well do a complete defoliation and bring in 3Lbs
Haven't you heard? He's now pulling '18' MASSIVE DONKEY DICKS from them.

Do I need to lollipop these plants, remove all fan leaves below growtips? I’m going to need to flip them now. I only have 9 more weeks for this run.

Seriously? Lollipopping plants that are 3 inches high? And you say you are going to put these in flower now? Come on man, you cant be serious? I would not put any plant into flower unless they are at least 16 to 24 inches tall. Why even bother with such tiny plants putting in flower this early.

I will give you a million dollars if you can do it 3 weeks! But dont count yourself rich yet… “Once you have eight main branches, the mainline structure is complete. The plants are usually about four to six weeks old and entering the late vegetation stage.” This is for synthetic growth and I’m growing organically!
No such thing as the "late" vegetative stage. Different strains grow at different rates. I veg for 8 weeks minimum. Out doors plants can veg for 3 to 4 months before nature flips them to flowering because of sun and night time.

You can't tell a plant to suddenly mature at week # "xyz." I've grown a few different strains some were mature at 4 weeks, one took nearly 3 months. I've had males throw balls at 3 weeks from seed, and one didn't show mature until light cycle flipped to flower.

Anyways, this why people do clones, already mature, already grown and fairly predictable.

Breeders estimates are from a mature plant, and under the best conditions where these plants have acclimated, and adapted to, over several life cycles. This is why so many people get it wrong as they manipulate, flip when not mature, give too much light, over water, over feed, too cold, too hot, too humid, etc, etc, etc, trying to speed it up or force it grow "Big Fat Colas."

You're not really in control of it, especially when growing from seed.

Plants grown from seed have excellent symmetrical nodes through their early growth. This makes it easy to mainline and maximizes the benefits of the symmetrical repetitive topping.

Since cannabis clones are usually taken from mature plants, they also have asymmetrical nodes. This makes it a challenge to top the plants and produce two equal branches.

Clones can still be mainlined or manifolded, however, because there is a lack of symmetry, there is no real advantage to a mainline.

When you growing a manifold, it’s very clear in what stage the plants are. You can complete mainline training and be ready to flip the plants to flowering in as little as one month from seed. However, in soil, it could take 6-8 weeks before plants are ready to be flipped.

Anyway .. when the mainline structure is complete. The plants are entering the late vegetation stage.

Yes, I’m serious and they are now in flower. Relax, sit back and watch how 2 tiny plants will get 16 big fat colas (donkey dicks), ready to harvest in 8-9 weeks.

I'm surprised that all this leaf stripping and stress does not pop out hermies more often.

All of this, are just techniques that people came up with to better take advantage of small grow spaces. To obtain the most they could while claiming some expertise they don't have.

Mainline is a techniques to grow plants with eight main colas rather than one. The techniques involves strategically topping the plant multiple times to produce a symmetrical structure.

Mainlines are possibly the best ways to train cannabis plants. The benefits include symmetrical colas, excellent lateral branching, and an efficient plant structure.

Mainlining is easy to accomplish even for new growers. You need plants that are growing well, courage and trust, but it requires no special skills.

I know what mainlining is... It's a fancy term for people who wish to make themselves feel better about the small space they grow in.

I call it "Optimism".

It still does not satisfy my concern about hermaphroditing from over stressing a plant through leaf stripping and over pruning and the point being is that you spend all this time caring and growing a plant....

only to have it hermie at the end, I mean if it works and you end up with a few nice Kolas at the end, great.... I personally kind of like a sure thing.

And no, "mainlining" is not the "best" way to train cannabis. It's just ONE way when given certain conditions that make that technique beneficial.

If it was the "best way", cannabis would already grow that way NATURALLY.

If you ever have the opportunity and space, try your mainline technique of bending over a plant on it's side, without trimming or cutting. SCROG will provide much higher yields than mainlining will.

I don’t know anything about hermie, but i rather have 8 main colas than 1 colas. Also as an indoor grower I like to optimize the grams/watts.
