Removing fan leaves is only good if you're indoor and have a piss lights.
Removing stored energy.
Lowering perspiration.
Lower absorbtion of carbon dioxide.
Lower chlorophyll, so low lower carbon dioxide being absorbed, so less glucose being produced.
Glucose is needed for the plants to "digest" the nutrient you add/are in the soil.

The amount of chlorophyll has nothing to do with the plants ability to absorb C02, just fewer leaves all covered up and over laying leaves for it to not BE absorbed. If your plants are half assed I'm betting they be needing every leaf they ever grown.
Glucose is a byproduct of photosynthesis and is energy for the plant. Mabey try molasses, feed the microbes and the plant.
Light and air are the 2 key indicators for a cannabis plant to focus energy to a flower site, otherwise they nothing more than a trickel drain from the main buds nutrient.
Piss poor light? All indoor is piss poor to natural sun, however PAR is what matters and not every light is equal.

Less leaves = less absorbsion of co2.
Less CO2 less glucose production.
Less glucose production = lowers the ability for the plant to absorb nutrients (that you've also removed from the plant by removing the leaves).
