What space will this new bar light likely cover in flower? I am looking for some really good 3x3 or 4x4 light for my side lighting... Most of the smaller bar lights use some of the less efficient diodes. The XS4000 seems like it would work great as well, but I do like the air flow of the bar lights a little better.

Middle of March is about when the next grow would start, so the timing would work out pretty well. Can you tell me what diodes you all will be using in the new KS series? Also will they be able to be linked to a lighting controller?

Thanks

Those xs lights are sweet. But their info lists the spectrums and it lists "660 Nm red, 3000 white, 5000 white, and 730 ir.". But 730 nm is far red which is different. Think Emerson Effect... IR is just beyond far red...invisible to naked eye.

Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
The Emerson effect is the increase in the rate of photosynthesis after chloroplasts are exposed to light of wavelength 680 nm (deep red spectrum) and more than 680 nm (far red spectrum). When simultaneously exposed to light of both wavelengths, the rate of photosynthesis is far higher than the sum of the red light and far red light photosynthesis rates. The effect was early evidence that two photosystems, processing different wavelengths, cooperate in photosynthesis.

Please let me know which model of the IR led is the best for our indoor growing if you have any suggestions. Thank you.
