Fungus gnats problems - any solutions?

Hey, guys,

Hope everything is well with you :)
I wated to ask if you guys know any solutions for getting rid of fungus gnats. They are really annoying and they seem not to want leaving the place :( I mention that I m talking about a pebbles growing technique.
Any magic solution/natural remedies etc?

I would be very grateful for any idea.

Buy yellow sticky traps and stick them around your grow area. Walls/Pots etc to catch the adults.
For the larvae cycle (in the soil) I recommend a BTi product. I like to use MICROBE-LIFT/BMC

Its liquid form. You integrate this into your watering's. I add 2 drops to 5gals of water.
The larvae will consume the BTi and die off. By doing both of these steps you will gain control of the gnat population.
Stay on it and in a week you'll notice results.

You can use gnatnix on top of soil also what works best is to feed from bottom so top inch of soil stays dry they don’t like the dry soil. Fungus gnats is a sign of over watering. Can also use sand on top layer of soil. The yellow sticky traps help. You can also use SNS209 or the SNS203. Both are safe and there is plenty of other pesticides out there that work

None of that works.
What does work 100%
Good air movement and Fabric pots, using bottom water technique, allowing the top soil to completely dry out until they die off, takes only about a week.

No sticky traps.
No bug spray.
No layer of sand.
No Diatomaceous Earth.
No pebbles.
No nylons.

I use bagged Miracle-Gro moisture control soil 0.18-0.10-0.10 and it's always got them in it. This method works every time.

It has to be fabric pots, otherwise they just go to the holes in the bottom of traditional pots.

Neem Seed Meal....OR like said, do bottom feeding such as a SIP. Look up Grobucket on Amazon, you can just water it through the tube and only has to be watered from top maybe once a month or so if that.

^^ I like the sticky traps but agree with letting soil dry out to kill em off.

I also keep a few stickies hanging. I noticed a few fungus gnats on my computer screen a couple of months ago. I sprayed the soil surface with regular neem oil/yucca extract-5 ml/liter water, every other day for a week. Gnats totally gone. I'm honestly amazed it worked permanently, I was expecting to have to do it a few more times during flower. I keep gnatrol on hand too, it's great stuff, I just had the neem already mixed for IPM during veg.

They can get into the smallest opening in your room or system which is why they can be a problem.

1) Filter your air intake.
2) Fabric Pots.
3) Whatever medium you use in a fabric Pot, add a layer of Chux superwipes just below the surface and snug it around the stem then add a top layer of your media, I use Clay Pellets. the Chux acts as a safety barrier just as the fabric pot does, effectively locking off your root zone where the Gnats if they can get in to lay eggs will cause a lot of problems and disease.
4) Microlift-BMC , apply every 10 days if you see any Gnats buzzing around your pots, this will break the cycle and wipe them out within 2-3 doses.
