My Seed Bank Experience

I have mixed feelings on seed banks now. I have had a good experience and a bad one.

So far truenorthseedbank I have had good experiences with twice now.

ILGM (I Love Growing Marijuana) I have had a horrible experience with. I ordered some Gelato Feminized (20 pack) and they're some of the smallest seeds I have seen in my 30 years at this. I contacted them about it and of course they want me to try them and well over 70% will failed to germinate. Now I had 2 other orders with them that I created after the first shipped out. So when I go these I asked for my orders to be canceled and my money refunded. Their support answered and said they would cancel my order, they never mentioned returning my money. Now after a week+ of radio silence from ILGM I am now forced to file a claim with my bank to get my money back.

Look I know we all take risks purchasing online but, I wouldn't have expected them to act in this fashion with the reviews I have seen about them in the last 2 years.

Thank you for the welcome. I not really hating on them. I was simply posting my experience. I am new to using seed banks, where I live we have a group of us that will share and trade off clones/seeds, I do not NEED to use seed banks as I have plenty of my own but, everyone likes new strains in their gardens.

Fair enough with that much experience it seems you would know small seeds means nothing in the era of hybrids
Germing rate is another matter

Just because seeds are small doesn't mean they are not good. If you've been growing from seed for 30 years as you say then you should know that.

You haven't hindered anything.

I responded to yet another "The seed bank ripped me off" thread. You're bashing a company because the seeds are small and they haven't refunded your money within a week for other orders that you cancelled. Do you think they just push a button and instantly your money is returned?

How was the experience horrible. So far you got your seeds, you thought they were too small, you claim 70% probably won't germinate but you don't know, they cancelled your other orders, you're upset that you're not getting daily play by play.

It's been a damn week. Yet here you are going on about some horrible experience you claim to have had but have offered nothing that would rise to the level of being horrible.

Stop paying for garbage. Listen to what everyone says and stick to DC Seed Exchange, Great Lakes Genetics, and JBC Seeds. I'll add Neptune, Breeders Direct, and Speakeasy to that list.

I agree with you on ILGM! The first year was great. But now two yrs in a row only half popped. I tried new ones from our head shop. 12 seeds for $20. They came in a Bic type pen, the name imprinted on the pen. So far I have 3 growing and the others are still germinating. I don't mind paying for quality seeds, but not ILGM, anymore! Will see how these do. It's just for me, so if these 3 are all I can grow, it might have been worth the $20? Lol

Original Cinderella99 has the smallest seeds ever. Dont think there are many complaints about that strain.
