Does anybody have a formula that works in telling how much lemon juice per gallon will lower ph to optimal ranges?...... photo plants love it but the autos are looking rough
.. thank you !. I'd rather try this method versus ph powders.. Do you need to let it sit in the water for any period of time to work or is it a fast process... I've had great success using the well water in the past but that's also been from using sohum live earth versus the strawberry field/ ocean mix I'm using now . The strains I'm growing are either finicky or the wells waters change ph often?.... its guess its time I get a decent meter as well....I'd just get some citric acid. 1/16 tsp per gal lowers my 7.8 water to 6.8 or so.
I've got well water too. And the citric acid is super cheap. It dissolves pretty fast in hot water. Like a few minutes... thank you !. I'd rather try this method versus ph powders.. Thank you sir. I was just looking at what Amazon had to offer ... how much crystal would I use then per gallon .. or is it the same as the lemon juice amount listed above.use citric acid crystals , but do some research on them, as some citric acid products contain suger that can cause bacterial problems further down the line
Citric acid also fights powdery mildew and bugs. It’s good stuff in your toolbox.Thank you sir. I was just looking at what Amazon had to offer ... how much crystal would I use then per gallon .. or is it the same as the lemon juice amount listed above.
Strawberry fields/OF mixHow are you growing? Soil, hydro, coco, peat, etc... Lemon juice might not be a good choice to lower pH.
They would need your same water source amongst other things to get the same results with what’s working for you.Use ProMix HP and you won't have to ph
My well water's ppm is ~500, I'm using Mega Crop one part in 3 gallon fabric pots. 600w MH/HPS in a 4 x 4.
Non ph'ed well water @ ~ 7.5, day 72 for auto's from autoflower dot ca.

Purple Silverback @ day 79.

BTW > 6.7g/gallon of Mega Crop was too much, 4.8g seems to be the happy spot !
Gelato @ day 75.

True but I'd sure give it a try. They would need your same water source amongst other things to get the same results with what’s working for you.
I've been using 2 Smidgens Per 32 oz of water. I get about 6.35 pH that way with lemon juice, but it varies a little based on how much citric acid each lemon has.Does anybody have a formula that works in telling how much lemon juice per gallon will lower ph to optimal ranges?...... photo plants love it but the autos are looking rough
