We are priveledged in VA To have a growing season from May to late Nov.

That branch to the right grew 6 ft tall after breaking at the crotch of the limb.Then it responded with a goofball sized knot .

Seed directly to soil.Cold frame sorted and planted.

I read something that said there was a slightly better yield.Last year there were plenty just under the straw in late July.
