Cloning.

Straight coco and a dome for a few days. I also don't like using those cups. I only use nursery pots for everything. I use the same fiskars I trim my weed with for cutting clones. I clean them with alcohol first of course.


This one was dipped in honey and then into coco. I took it from a flowering plant and had roots showing from the bottom holes of the pot in around 10 days.

i got this airocloner that has a mister in the base of it, does me proud with cuttings, sorry i cant show you any, but i got busted a while back and its stopped me from showing you any pix that could be used as evidence against me

Okay I ordered single sided razors.

@crimsonecho I did the rapid rooters and under humidity dome.
I did that before with success but after two dead trays. I simply stuck the looking-good in soil and that's what happened.

I'm confused.

I made a cloner years ago. It worked great but it's not worth the hassle with a small grow like I have now and I've found that coco is just as fast and much easier. I still have it but the tote is used for its intended purpose of storage.

I just can't abide by this repeated failure. The Dude does not Abide!

So for the record. All was as before. Clones cut. Fresh cuts to stem then into Clone-X and into rapid rooters. Tray in, dome on.
Rapid rooters had fresh water so they were rinsed first. They were goodly-moist and they did pick up some water from the tray when it was put in the base-tray but not much.
Rapid rooter have been in the original bag in the fridge. Clone-X has been in original bottle in the Fridge.

I'm open to suggestions.

I don't get it for why they all died but I'll start with straight razor and I'll try the Clone King.

I would agree that Clone King should be overkill but at this point 100% success rate advertised I'll give it a try.

I don't think I'm doing anything different but something is wrong. So, I'll try a machine.

Yep, looks almost identical. I put 2 gallons of water and 2 crushed then pasted(mixed with a little water and re crushed) aspirin tablets. I did treat my cuts with "Take Root" made into a slurry but that's all. No dome, just be sure the lights aren't too strong. My cloner sits outside my tent with the door open so it only gets a little direct light. I've heard you can use clonex in it but it seems unnecessary to me.

Well, I get one more up at-bat and I need a home run. I am counting on these clones for breeding.
Murphy's Cloning Laws. Whenever your really need some clones they will die
If this is a fail safe method then it's worth the money at this time.

just for the record, ive never had but a few clone failers in my mister cloner. may be im just lucky. biut i do give an extra nitrogen boost b4 i take my clones so they have it in them during cloneing, dont know if that makes any differance or im just lucky

I'm motivated as those cuts did well in plain water in cups for three days under a reading lamp. Not that it was part of a clone-plan. It's just that they were not needed or so I thought.

my e girlfriend out did me with a glass with 3 cuts in it on a windowcill and i was trying all manor of cloneing tec lol, but they were northan lights, simple to clone. you probably have a dificult strain to clone in the first place

What kind of a light are you using?? Also try spraying some water on the inside of the dome walls.

I use rapid rooters and find them just as easy as coco. I soak them and then shake them out to get about 75% of the moisture out. Plug my cuts and throw a dome on and keep them in my clone area for about 10 days then I start cracking vents. I don't even leave the water in the bottom of the tray. I like to let the plugs kind of dry out on that root starting process. With the dome on it keeps the plugs moist long enough to root as well as good moisture in the air to keep them hydrated. After that I just harden them off to dome off and they are good to go.
If you are doing a lower number of cuts like 20 clones at most on a tray then I would recommend the coco and greater amounts per tray I would recommend root riot plugs.

difficult to clone would probably just mean longer on trays or not rooting at all, but his issue looks environmental. Even if the rooting hormone went bad, it would probably start from the stem up and not shriveling the top down.
