I know a guy who knows a guy who---you get it----- who has a plant that is very healthy and is 3 weeks into budding,,, the problem (I hear) is that it is in a small pot that was fine for it when it was just small, and he was hoping to finish the plant in this pot, but I----,I mean he, doesnt want to wake up one day to it being root rotted and dying,, but if at all possible HE wants to see if it can finish in this pot,,, has anybody finished plants in small pots,,,, the plant is in soil w/ foxfarm nutes.... pictures of your plants in small pots might help a lot as I will post mine asap....:confused: Oh yeah the plant is a blueberry, and is about 2 ft. tall.....

O.K.,, so here is the thing,,,,,,,,, He wants to try and find out what the smallest size pot he can use without f-n around w/ stunted growth or bud size reduction,, has anyone done this and what were the results..... Sorry I wasnt clear enough on this, but that kinda sums it up...:wall:

1 small pot=1 small plant. Most times when folks grow in a small pot they get a single cola plant, which can yeild (by itself) a small amount. However, if there were several of these small ones going then the yeild is several times larger.

Often small pots can cause damage to the roots. Root rot and root lock which the impact on the plant is always an issue.

There are some threads here of people doing exactly this, FDD for example does this with his Jack strain, think it's him anyways. I saw one that was real nice and he grew in red cups. I'll go see if I can find the link for ya.

thanx everyone for your comments and pix, just one more question, maybe for fdd since those pix are damm nice, Is there a big difference in size if I take off the fan leaves on a few to fit more in the room or is it a bad thing at week 3 to remove the fan leaves..... It would really help out if I can remove at least the lwer fan leaves, but the more room the better if ya know what I mean.....Any help would be appreciated.....:?:

don't remove any leaves. unless you are lollipopping or cloning. :eyesmoke:

Dammm,,You were supposed to say,, go ahead, it wont hurt the final outcome and you will be able to put more in your room,,,win-win...Oh well Im going to have to think of another way to fit more into one room...:wall:

A small pot will dry out alot faster and you will need to water frequently.

I had a nightmare of a plant a couple years ago in a small pot. The plant was really large, like 6 feet tall 5 feet wide and I had to water it at least 2 times a day.

I had it in a 2 gallon pot that was buried in some sandy soil.

It was like a hydro plant with all the chemical nutes I gave her lol. But sometimes when it was time to water she was really droopy.

From what I understand you can use much smaller pots in Hydro vs Soil.

I dont understand why its not good for a plant not to have its fan leaves unless lollipopping,, when lolipoping they get pretty dam nice buds....:wall:

Lolipoping is removing the "sucker" branches.

You remove the smaller producing branches that produce small wispy buds.

That allows the plant to focus on nice big colas.

leaves collect light to produce photosynthesis, the more leaves the more photosynthesis. :bigjoint:
