Lighting Schedule From Indoors to Outdoors Help Please

I have my plants 3 Months old 4.5 feet tall at this point. (OG Kush) Out growing my 5x5 tent I always had planned on transplanting outdoors from the beginning. My Concern is I have always from day one Used a 16 on 8 hour off light schedule. Hoping to be pretty close to the natural light schedule here In May. My plan is to slowly adjust the lighting schedule back from 16 to 14.5 over the next 3 weeks .. some are telling me there is good chance they will trigger into flowering stage ..

I'm hoping that I haven't already messed up these things a super healthy plants and Growing Stronger Daily. Location In Virginia If that matters . I would be very appreciative of any suggestions/tips at this point .

Location Virginia Southern .. So anything less than what they are used to will trigger the flowering? I was counting on the 12 hours or less to do that ..whats my options now ?

There is a very good chance you will trigger flowering no matter how gradual
What general location?
Do you say that because of the length of time they have been vegging? I'm trying to learn for myself. I don't usually see a problem going outside from indoors as long as you time it right but I'm guessing you think it's been vegged so long it's going to be more sensitive. I know clones can be trickier but I hadn't given much thought to an older plant from seed before.

You take a plant and its mature at 14 hours is going to fool it into flower
Maybe not all but many times

You rarely see 12 hours of daylight it is always more till winter
Mature plants want to do one thing reproduce
If you wait till June first you are pretty much assured of no reveg

I have a Garage I could put them in at night and set them out during the day .. there in 7 gallon pots at the moment would I be better off to keep them portable right up until harvest ? Go bigger pots ? decsions decsions

Thanks, I just wanted to know what the cutoff was and whether it was because of the age of the plant. My girls went out late last year so it wasn't an issue and I've always done indoor other than that so I appreciate the info. I've heard 14.5 is a safe number for starting them outside before but I would guess it's strain dependent to an extent.

If 14.5 hours of sunlight is safe to go outside, then you'd be safe to put them outside around the end of May in the Lynchburg, VA area. Just have to harden them off for a week so you don't shock them when they first go out. I'd top them, use those for clones for friends or just toss em and then get ready to go out around June first.

My big concern is they are outgrowing my tent .. I may have to move to garage since weather is warming up . My sole intent was to have some huge strong healthy plants during the prime growing season here .. maybe I started to early seems like anyways ..

Supercrop them or just cut a foot off the tops. It has plenty of time to grow back and it's just going to be bushier.

Keeping them pruned up for airflow and tops from suffering light damage might be my best option on this that or the Garage until then . Was really hoping to hear from some that have already encountered this .. I do appreciate all replies so far .. some great suggestions .

I could trim them like mention and just keep them in the tent. Just continue with the 16 hour light schedule ?
