It sounds like you re already set in your opinion anyway. Everyone here has offered their part a few times and you seem to immediately know they are wrong, so why not just trust your plants communication via the form of progress and stop worrying? Usually rising PH just means the plant is feeding and the postively charged/ acidic ions that lower Ph are being used up quicker than the water and alkaline buffer compunds are considering most alkaline compounds are buffers not macros. I wouldn't worry. swing is good as some compounds are mare available at 6.4 than 5.4, and vice versa.
If your so sure everyone's advice is off, why not try some of their suggestions and prove yourself right? You are saying that its never happened before, but you have never grown these exact plants in the exact environment before. there are so many variables that the whole "its never happened before" doesn't really hold up.
