Those split batch your referring to. Always come out with different number too.In California for legal shops the sample has to be based on the size of the batch. If you have a large batch (say a few hundred pounds, like 300-500), your sample size might be a pound or more. There's also a maximum batch size and if you grow more than the maximum batch size, it gets split and treated as a separate batch that needs its own sample.
For what it's worth, labs testing for the legal distributors are testing for potency, pesticides, microbes, heavy metals, solvents, and moisture content/relative humidity. The terpenes aren't mandated by the state but anyone paying for labs is going to want it because it will help their stuff sell. Some things won't get picked up by that battery of test, for example, someone could be using paclobutrazol and not have it show up because it's not being tested for.
I think minimum size to test is 10 grams or something in that range acs just got back to me. And they’re on that same level as canna the other company I talked to.I did care, that’s why I originally asked the question…
I don’t sell, so I didn’t know that was how they did it. As a home grower, labs can test with samples of less than 0.5g per test.
Personally I’d only be interested in THC and terpene profile. Just for curiosity sake. Thinking of bringing a sample of my last run to the lab. Pretty curious about it.Those split batch your referring to. Always come out with different number too.

and as I stated above earlier. Terpene profile is not a required test by law. I rather not pay the extra for that. Because my nose and taste buds kinda tell me if it’s terpy or not.
Sample size out here California must be 0.35% of total weight. 50lbs max. And like you were saying cant exceed 50. If it does. They are broken into sub batch’s. Cannot surpass 150,000 unitsJust FYI.. the lab requirements for Oklahoma are 10 grams per 15 lb batch, per strain. So if we make 15.8 lbs , I’m gonna hold back that .8 or a little more .. I’m not about to pay $300 plus for that small of a batch. Then you have to test the trim off of that 15lb batch as well. It can get pretty expensive. Word on the street is that about 30% fail for microbes., and ~ 10% for heavy metals. … about the same for pesticides.
Closer...but not quite there. They actually take pollen to a processor bee who then takes it up and vomits it to the honey comb, where he/she caps the cell to lock out moisture. It then gets "cured" by evaporation of the moisture to create the thick honey....... science and random knowledge shit.
It's not really puke. They actually have 2 stomachs. One for food, and one for nectar. It’s bee puke. No way around it. It’s ingested. The bee absorbs waters. Spits it back up next bees turn. Until it’s at the correct moisture content it’s cell wall sealed/capped off.
But it’s flat out regurgitation. Over and over again. we love it, And it’s good for us.
Damn, stink bug and bee expert? Impressive. It's not really puke. They actually have 2 stomachs. One for food, and one for nectar.
Organic master grower too.Damn, stink bug and bee expert? Impressive.
