Yeah the trim job would be worrying a bit, may be a bit too time consuming for everything I got going on.. I like strains that are a bit easy to trim, but hopefully the fill out for you and end up tasting amazing.

On a side note, I just filled in more of my 4 garden beds that I've been building over the last few weeks..

So far in these beds we have..

74 heads of romaine lettuce
20 broccoli
22 kale
30 peppers
20 green beans
180 corn stalks with most of them having 2 heads of corn almost ready to harvest.

I have a spinach tray that I am going to plant tomorrow and then all 4 beds will be completely full..

4 beds... 5ft x 26ft x 2ft completely full with a fall harvest..

Not to bad for a start, I will expand more next year.

There's roadkill, sweet island, space skunk, and 1985 skunk.

Deepkill is interesting and so is deep6. If you read the blog on Deep Chunk it was used in the RoadKill Skunk. You already have some of the genetics.

Any experience with or thoughts on what might work better for sleep and relaxation? The Deep6 or the Angel '98?

They are both high indica and should be good for sleep.

The big thing is what you do with them. If you haven't tried oil yet you should. I use coconut oil which you can get at the grocery store or health food store and then decarb and cook it up. There are lots of instructions on the web. When you smoke it goes through the lungs but oil goes through the digestive system. It takes longer to hit but lasts longer which is what you want for sleep.

At Kitchen Toke there are some other ideas on how to use your grow :-).

Yes sir, it's been a busy ass year so far.. All this was started by scratch, with just a shovel.. My back was wrecked for a good part of the spring/summer after digging those beds lol..
Take care. It's hard to get back what you wreck especially as we get older. I didn't appreciate how good some things were when I was younger but I'm getting some lessons too.

We have potentially 3 out of 4 days rain where I live and I chopped the white Frostberry today. Trim jail day today but it's well worth it. I'll post a pic or 2 later but the Frostberry is on my list of favorite strains. Easy to grow and produces like crazy. Pineapple Poundcake is there too but I did an inside/outside grow for that with the solarium used for wet days.

The Okanagan Grape will be left until they start wrecking themselves and I'll chop and at least the one in bud which will be washed for hash. Far too much trimming for bud. Indoor growing I control the environment and can wait for the pistils to brown, retract, yada yada... to a certain degree. Outdoors you do the best you can.

I took care of the grandkids yesterday and my daughter-in-law told me she would never smoke my weed again. First experience she got tired and went to sleep. Second time she sat on the floor telling stories that were only funny to her, laughed like a loon while my son was laughing at her.

I am thinking that Frostberry too, I wonder if it can pull a few lbs per plant.. I want to hit an average of 2.5lbs next year.. This year I may get that 2lb average with the way things are shaping up..

This year the strain that will bring down my average is going to be the GDP, she vegges so slow but her buds should be rock hard and tasty.
That sounds like a candidate for an inside/outside grow for me. The tent lets me control light/dark and choose when to start flowering. Deep Six will be an inside/outside next year in coco with big autopots.

Yeah GDP would be good indoors.. One thing I learned with this strain.. DO NOT LST this strain, you will quickly regret it if you do.. It gets out of control bushy in the center.. Makes it very hard to clean her up.. I would not recommend LST the GDP IBL at all.. Top her or run her untrained.

I have a buddy who I gave a few GDP females, the extras I had.. He is running them untrained, I never topped them from the start.. They are running more like a xmas tree for him that way, with no out of control madness in the center.. Me I LST'd mine and it was total chaos to clean them out.

Here is a small update on the veggie garden..

I still have a long ways to go on this plot but one step at a time.. I should have it more established next year.

This is Romaine Lettuce, Bell Peppers and some Green Beans.. I will be adding hardwood mulch as soon as I can get some. I will also be planting some spinach in these beds as well.

By next year I will have 2 more beds in this area, a nice fence around the entire area and everything will be mulched. By next year Im hoping this plot will start to fully shape itself.

Some corn.

I will get more updates on the veggie garden as it comes together, I still got a lot of work to do.

Last year I made chocolate truffles. I'm pretty familiar with the decarb process - basically just toasting your buds at low heat in the oven. I have a few test runs going now but when they're done I'm going to start my pack of recently-landed Angel '98 ;)

thanks!

What is others drying and curing methods?

This year I am moving over to this type of a system, I am going to be ordering gamma seal lids soon..

5 out of 7 days have some rain in the forecast and the morning dew is getting heavy with nights getting colder. I chopped the white Frostberry and just finished trimming. These are the bigger stalks that came off. I wet trim in 2 steps. Big leaves come off first and I toss them. The second trim is closer but the trim gets kept for later use. Wet weight is over 200g on each stalk but a lot of that will be the stalk itself.

I don't know what it will be like to use but I expect it will be good for sleep time.

That Frostberry finishes before mine even flower, lol.. The trimming looks like some work tho eh?
It was really a good one to trim. I'm not saying no work but compared to how the Okanagan Grape looks Frostberry is a dream. It's big for sure which means it takes some time. It's really wet now so it will be interesting to see what it dries down to. The purple one I took down is pretty dry now and it's fluffy. I'd need a drier environment than I have here to grow it properly.

I pulled the roots out and they are really small compared to even the coco grows. Compared to hydro they are midgets.

The one OGrape in bud smells grapey. The one that has nothing smells skunky.
