How to know when to start flushing?

What is the best way to know when to start flushing? I dont have anything I can use to check the trichomes

You don’t flush. See that was very easy.

When you think you're ready to harvest, then flush. Don't do it when you're a week or two out. Just go an extra week with pure water.

And get a jeweler's loupe. They're like $10.

Exactly my stance, Try it yourself. Agree on timing as well, I use plain water the last 2 ish weeks. You can’t actually know until you’ve done both yourself.

So I don’t pour large volumes of water in my pots at once. I do however taper off my feed once the flowers are set and maturing. Then once they look almost ready I’m plain water the rest of the grow. People here will tell you not to flush but my advice in try it for yourself, tune out the crowd and see what actually works for you like others have posted here.

If you flush make sure to use some sugar water. You can buy a bottle of Clearex for $20. That will get all the nutrients out of the buds so you won't be smoking fertilizer and the ash will burn pearly white. You have to dump ten times the volume of liquid through your growing medium everyday for 2 weeks to get the best results. Don't worry about things staying too wet just pretend you're growing hydro.
