It taste very different when it not pressed get a totally different terp profile.
Oh yeah no way that would be a waste to me. Sorry I prefer old school hash over rosin. I have a press but I only use dry sift for that.
I press flower only. I just can’t press my hash, I’ve considered it but it just seems kind of pointless if your hash is already full melt…. To me anyway. However I echo the sentiment to each their own.

I'm just more into pure and refined hash. Sure your full melt will dab. Then leave black residue on the banger from contaminants (plant material). I press through a 25um bag so pretty much any crud gets left behind. For me, I grow way more weed than I need so making live bubble hash/rosin isn't a waste for me. I could care less if I get 3% yeild as long as it's fire that's all I care about.
Trying to stay away from combustion, carcinogens, and the like. low temp dabs off a banger is where it's at.
Don't get me wrong, I've got temple balls, microplaned hash lying around too but dabs where it's at

Put another way, what's the best booze: beer, wine, cider or whiskey? The more people you ask the more different answers you get as most people have enough experience with booze to learn what they prefer and when, which is no different then flower, hash or rosin in the end. Alcohol is a good analogy as most people understand the nuance more like realising alcohol percent doesn't equal quality, just like THC percent doesn't equal quality outside of prohibition where the economics push people towards high percent products while accepting lower quality (again, just like alcohol as we see the rise of mixed drinks during prohibition to mask the poor quality of the distilled liquor).

Now I sound like a boozer lol, I should probably mention I really don't drink but have just found it a more relatable analogy for most people as it is more socially acceptable and ingrained in culture.

I just hate comparing to alcohol because they do different things. I don' t drink anymore. Maybe a beer here and there. I've got whiskey bottles unopened from 20 years ago sitting in the liquor cabinet. Don't get me wrong I LOVE drinking but drinking doesn't love me. So I gave it up. I'm already enough of a dick, add some whiskey and yeesh I don't even wanna be around myself lmao.

Very nice, what's your process? Do you use a machine or stir by hand, what kind of agitation times, etc?
I use 5 gallon bubble bags with 6 gallon buckets. I do stir by hand very gently for about 2 and half minutes then sift. I keep everything cold I keep 5 gallons of water in my fridge so it's super cold to use for the process. I also close my kitchen off with a blanket and crank the a/c on high to keep the temperature low 60s. I do have a 20 gallon bubble machine for when my outdoor plants are ready to harvest just didn't have that much material to run this time I did about 6 ounce of material this run.

Do effects matter when the analogy is about personal preferences regarding tastes and potency? Most people understand different booze is appropriate at different times and that it's a personal taste more then anything. That concept is rarely applied to pot where people are usually chasing the dragon of the latest/greatest, must grow variety or project their preferences for hash/dabs/flower onto others.
