I dont think there is really enough data around AI driving in the real world, but it would be safer in the future, would have to be.
Don't see myself adopting it anytime soon though, I like to fix my own stuff and am not sure a 10 minute youtube video would cover the necessary info. It's all still prohibitively expensive to me, but I'm a cheap used car person so will see what it looks like in 10 years.
Driving can be pretty fun, I wouldn't want to get away from that. Commuting sucks though, my slog across the city on the interstate, while exhilarating, is stupid. I could see the technology being used to greatly improve bus-type transit services.
