28% are republicans and only around 20% of those think he should not be held to account and Donald's odds in DC go down dramatically from there, jurors are screened, and jurors can also be challenged, by both the government and the defendant. Often national security and terrorism trials are held in northern Virgina near DC, where there are a high proportion of government employees or retired government and military people.i'm still not sure he'll end up in front of any judge, anywhere...
he could easily cut a deal for house arrest, and no prison time. he could still walk free...there are a lot of fucking magats in the country, expecting to get a jury with none is a fantasy...and all it takes is one to hang a jury...again and again and again...
That's really well summed up bro,I guess I was apolitical when I was younger mostly because I felt that until Clockwork Orange took the seat I was comforted by the fact that I felt all previous Presidents at least loved their country and weren't intent on burning down institutions or embracing violence between fellow Americans.I've always been unsettled by the rhetoric used by the Republican Party. Reagan's portrayal of poor people as "welfare queens", the characterization of Muslims as terrorists after 9/11, their endorsement of DEA agents raiding homes during the hey day of the War on Drugs because "they are druggies and addicts". I saw their scapegoating and propaganda for what it was. But you know what? I never thought Conservative Republicans would try to overthrow our government and institute a dictatorship. I saw the conflict between those holding old beliefs rooted in white power and those demanding change from a growing post-millennial diverse society as a peaceful though rancorous generational shift. With each peaceful transfer of power, one step forward (Clinton), half step back (Bush jr), two steps forward (Obama), one step back (Trump), I thought we were making progress. Progress in a typical US way -- in fits and starts.
But not now. This is different. I sum my feelings toward MAGA Republican fascism this way:
I miss the days when Republicans thought terrorism was a bad thing.
I think Biden nailed the danger we are in in his speech in Philly on Sept 1. He opened the way for conservative Republicans to join Democrats in opposition of MAGA Republican/Trumpism. Biden recognized Conservative Republicans as potential allies and asked for their help. To everybody listening, Biden stated outright the danger MAGA Republicans pose to our democracy. He didn't even ask for much from true Americans. He just asks for our vote.
I've always been political. During my days as a young adult, most around me were apolitical. I was OK with that. If a person can't take the time to understand the issues, I didn't want them voting. But now is different. What happened on Jan 6, '20 was an attempt at disenfranchising the majority of voters in this country. What happened on June 22, '22 -- when the Supreme Court took away a woman's right to decide her future -- was more than just an attack on abortion, it was a message that everybody's civil rights are in MAGA Republican crosshairs. One doesn't have to be political to know that Biden needs our vote. It's not political to want this country's democracy to survive.
I predict Dearie will be unimpressed. She did not install him as Special Master I Get To Veto.Cock Block 5000 - Corrupt Cannon

Thursday’s ruling was the first clash between Cannon, a Trump appointee who has generally shown the former president deference in litigation over the Mar-a-Lago investigation, and Dearie, a federal judge she appointed as an outside expert in the case, who appears to be far more skeptical of Trump.
At the request of Trump’s lawyers, Cannon chose Dearie to review approximately 11,000 documents seized Aug. 8 from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and residence and determine whether any should be shielded from investigators because of attorney-client or executive privilege.
Dearie last week told the former president’s legal team that they couldn’t suggest in court filings that the government’s description of the seized documents — including whether they were classified — was inaccurate without providing any evidence. He ordered them to submit to the court by Oct. 7 any specific inaccuracies they saw in the government’s inventory list of seized items.
It would have been a key test of Trump’s legal strategy, as his lawyers decided whether to back up Trump’s controversial public claims that the FBI planted items at his residence and that he had declassified all the classified documents before leaving office — or whether they would take a more conciliatory approach.
But according to Cannon, who is still the ultimate authority in the portion of the case dealing with which of the unclassified documents federal investigators may use, such a decision is not required right now.
There shall be no separate requirement on Plaintiff at this stage, prior to the review of any of the Seized Materials, to lodge ex ante final objections to the accuracy of Defendant’s Inventory, its descriptions, or its content," Cannon wrote in her order.
Cannon also addressed ongoing disputes over deadlines set by the Dearie as part of his review, siding with Trump’s team and extending the special master review deadline to Dec. 16. She had had originally said Dearie could have until around Thanksgiving to settle any disagreements the two parties had over privilege issues.
Hang deep state Dearie! How many death threats has he gotten so far? Has he been doxed yet? Come on Magats, yer falling down on the job!
BREAKING: Trump OBJECTS to Special Master in NEW FILING and Claims He Actually Stole 200,000 Docs
84,475 views Sep 29, 2022 Donald Trump’s lawyers just filed a letter brief to the Special Master Judge Raymond Dearie objecting to the protocols to review documents he has established and objecting to submitting a verified under oath declaration from Donald Trump. The letter brief also claims that Donald Trump may have taken 200,000 pages of documents and not the 11,000 initially reported
