How high of a temp can weed handle????

I've read that 75 degrees is the best temp for growing plants indoors, but from your experience, what's the max temp that a weed plant can handle?

80? 85? 90?

Grateful for any & all inputs!!

ps I'm asking because I'm having some heat issues and I rather not have to cut any holes to the outside.

i dunno abt the max it can handle... i wudnt try stressing my plants either...

adding co2 helps the plants to stand upto a temp as high as 95 degrees

you dont ever want temps to get above 85F...

75-80 is optimal...i stay at a constant 75F so that can be your goal...

good luck, but know that to be successful at this hobby, sometimes walls gotta be cut...if you can cover a window with plywood and fix a dryer vent to the outside...vent directly outside...thats what i do...working perfectly

"CO2 is cheaply produced by burning Natural Gas. However, heat and Carbon Monoxide must be vented to the outside air."

searching CO2, marijuana, heat in google..thats the same quote i got everywhere...nothing ever about becoming heat resistant

How in the world does weed grow in Afghanistan then? I am pretty sure it gets hotter than 75 degrees there.

no worries brother....new knowledge is what were all here for...

im just happy that that was a civil disagreement and discussion...most of the boards ive been on, that tiny disagreement would have started WW3 with a lot of these keyboard warriors

gotta love RIU

outdoors & indoors....two different worlds...but feel free to turn the heat in your grow room to 100F and let me know how it goes ;)

were talking "optimal" here...

and for shits and giggles...afghani weather varies from region to region...they cultivate their erb around kabul

"Kabul is situated at a height of 5900 feet above sea level. Kabul weather is characterized by summer temperatures varying from 16° C (60.8F) at sunrise to 38° C (100.4F) at noon."

^not too different from a Northern Cali summer...and cold nights in afghanistan induces a lot of purple plants (look up the cold in relation to purple erb)

score one for the bad guys

Yep, I was getting at that if you have the right conditions, the temp really isn't such a big deal. (ie running CO2). I think the rule of thumb is that if it is uncomfortable to a human, it will likely be uncomfortable to a plant. I wouldn't want to sit in a 100 degree room :) Pretty interesting about their climates though.

just to add something here, its not that the plant cant handle heat. they can and pretty well at that. the hotter it gets the more lanky and airy the buds are. what makes things worse is if the temp stays above upper 80's/low 90's you WILL GET SPIDER MITES. they love hot dry climate.. now instead of airy lanky buds you get buds full of mites.. yummy!
