I'm thinking of getting it as it's for a reasonable price (unlike the crazy expensive volcano ones) but I have no experience and I'm curious what you guys think, what are the pros and cons of these?

Don't get your hopes up. You shouldn't think about comparing this with a Volcano either.

No experience of them but I have arizer solo 2 and that is very good. Its more expensive than those 2 but nowhere near a volcano

+1 on the solo 2. i'd rather buy 2 of them vs a crafty or mighty from storz/bickel.

Whenever I see posts of this type I feel obligated to speak up for the Arizer Solo II. Love it! 3 other friends have purchsed one after trying it. They all love it too.

If the cost is an issue I understand. However, if Solo II is in your budget, you won't be disappointed

i've had mine for awhile and i still can't pick my favorite temp. what do you prefer? i've been on 365 lately but i was on 380 before it

only desktop i had was a really old conduction vapolution. the glass stem was only made for a small amoutn of flower so it wasn't a party or even 2 person hit

I start at 375 but 365 would be fine too. I rip tasties until I dont see vapor, then I bump the temp up to 400. Rip that till i don't see vapor. Usually its pretty well done at that point.

My theory is start low and work high so you get all the cannabinoids that vaporize at different temps. Could be bro science but its how I've ripped it for the last few years. Still works like day 1.

I've had a volcano, its really good but just more of a process than I want in my vape routine. Also, i think my gf thought it was just a bit much. Like she thought I was making a science project out of it.

For the solo, I have an airtight canister..or five, that I keep preground herb in. All I do is take the solo stem, dip it in the jar, twist, quick swoosh of the finger to clean it up and tamp it down lightly. Pop it in the solo and your rippin. Tap it out and repeat or call it good. Satisfying effect

i just break off chunks of bud and put it in, no grinding. also works well

dry vape makes weed taste amazing but after 3 months using a had vape like that mine stopped holding a charge and having to clean it after every gets old fast for a very heavy smoker . its a fun little toy but not made for heavy smokers

Right on. I have a few SSV vapes. I agree about the Volcano. I haven't even thought about getting one of those. I have a thing about smoke sitting there. With bongs I like straight tubes so the smoke doesn't swirl around mixing with more O2 and getting harsh, so it's always been a pet peeve.

I'm lazy too. I keep mine running 24/7. I just crush up a nug with my fingers into the wand. Then grab the vape with my left hand and hold the wand in my right and use the vape as a lighter kinda, but it's just hot air. I turn it a little while I puff. Then tap the wand to stir it a bit and do it again.

Dry vape does taste amazing.

My solo will hit 3 years old this spring and I use it every day, multiple times. Still works great. My friends have had theirs for at least a year, maybe 2. All still in use. Plus solo has the longest battery life of any portable vape out there. Lastly, everything is contained in a removable glass stem which makes hits tasty but also makes cleaning super easy. Throw it in a zip loc with some iso and salt, couple shakes, you're good.

Edit* I do long distance cycling and on 2 different occasions its fallen out of the back of my bike bag bc I always forget to close it when I'm roasted. The speed is between 15 and 20 mph, directly onto pavement. Solo still works like a beast, a tried and tested TANK.

You can puff anywhere without a glass tube.

I highly suggest the mighty. Worked for years. Easy to clean and get new parts. Battery lasts all day if using constantly. A couple days with regular use.

The mighty is simple. Put in weed and turn on. Hit once it vibrates.

I have a Dynavap bb3 with the wand induction heater. Badass little dry herb vape. It works with the torch too but that just gives me crackhead vibes. Wasn’t to pricey either, the bb3 starter kit was like $60 the induction was a little pricey $130 but it makes a big difference.

Pax2, mighty, and crafty are all up there amongst the best portable vapes. By no means is Solo your only option. Everything has slight pros and cons, just gotta go with the best mixture for you. I've never tried the plenty but Storz and Bickle make quality products so I'm sure its good.
