I love bacon but I really love crispy skin. So I couldn't do it.I'm on the fence with this one. I want to do it but I don't like messing with the traditional roast turkey and that classic Thanksgiving meal.

if anything, i'd get a whole turkey breast and do the same thing but on the smoker and then in the oven to crisp up the bacon.I'm on the fence with this one. I want to do it but I don't like messing with the traditional roast turkey and that classic Thanksgiving meal.

"sir, would you like to try zorbing down the bunny slope? nope, i'm good with just this down parka."Take the lift up and just roll me down the hill
I am looking forward to hearing how that turns out. I decided I'm just doing a turkey breast for T'giving.I actually have 2 turkeys. I just pulled the 20 lb Butterball I bought earlier in the week out of the freezer. It's going to take 4 days to thaw and then I'll put it in the brine Tuesday night. I have another turkey I got for free at Fred Meyers for spending $150. But it's going to be just one turkey traditionally roasted this year.
I'll probably try out the bacon on a whole chicken in the near future though.
You have different ads where you're at. The Safeways here have Jennio turkeys for $1.27 lb. The Butterballs are $2.49 lb.
i'll get our next one there. city market was less than a buck too. we usually get 3 or 4 and pop them in the deep freeze
I can’t imagine you can taste anything but bacon preparing it that way.I'm on the fence with this one. I want to do it but I don't like messing with the traditional roast turkey and that classic Thanksgiving meal.

Me too.I am looking forward to hearing how that turns out. I decided I'm just doing a turkey breast for T'giving.
That's exactly why I don't want to try it with Thanksgiving turkey. I don't play with that meal. I want just the traditional classic turkey dinner with no frills.I can’t imagine you can taste anything but bacon preparing it that way.
It would probably be damn good if you deep fried it, .That's exactly why I don't want to try it with Thanksgiving turkey. I don't play with that meal. I want just the traditional classic turkey dinner with no frills.
