a bit more visible solidarity would be nice, perhaps under the principle that half a social democracy is better than none.

More seriously, his suggestion that the problem with the Democrats is “not enough boldness” is at least reckless, and arguably party sabotage. We already got a coupla outright saboteurs harshing the legislative vibe.
Party sabotage would have been to not vote yes on it, since he did vote with the rest of the Democrats, it is hard to not be more visible than that.

Saying that it is not enough is a legitimate gripe, and why we need to have more Democrats voted into office in the fall, and again in 2024. Which he seems to get, even if it is buried at the end of that article.Screen Shot 2022-08-13 at 6.20.02 PM.png

Once we are off the razor’s edge, yes to all the blue part. I want it too, but there are tactical considerations.

So ”supporting his amendments, even if they are destined to fail” is a dangerous luxury for the moment. In an existential struggle you holster it, man the buckets and keep going until the fire is out imo.

California is about to become the world’s 4th largest economy
Since they got rid of the republicans a while back, things are looking up. When they were on the scene, I remember California being "ungovernable" and in crises. Since they went away so did most of the problems it appears, Arnold was practically a democrat.

26,134 views Nov 17, 2022
Nancy Pelosi, who put her stamp on Washington as a progressive policy-maker and became the first woman speaker in history, formally stepping down from leadership on her own terms. Pelosi widely praised by allies in her party and in the GOP for re-defining the modern speakership, facing down presidents from Bush to Trump and for her viral moments. The move comes as control of the House switches to the Republican party in the 2022 midterms.
