still, for me to care it has to work here.
Well, it is a climate change thread and not so much sales office for EVs. Many post of the problems we face, and I do too, but I also like to post about the possibilities too and the work people are doing to help us get to that green new future. Things like deep geothermal might soon be matters of public policy as BEVs research and charging stations are now.

Next year your EV options will likely double and the year after that there will be more choices and prices ranges. However, the idea of the cheap sodium battery pack out living the car is an attractive one for consumers and should shift the ground under the industry's feet.

Here is an example of stuff I don't bother posting, but it is interesting though aways down the road I figure, if it ever gets there. it will be competing against lithium sulphur and lithium silicone electro chemistries and lithium extraction is becoming cheaper too. I tend to post those things that are pre-production, in production or can enhance existing production. Many of the breakthroughs concern production or longevity bottlenecks. Solid state battery makers found they could dramatically reduce defects in the sintering process by completely eliminating CO2, the more CO2 the more defects in production.

At least 5K worth of leg space.

Not fit for European legs.

The actual production version not nearly as sexy.

Sat in one of these at dealer, not sure if I'm a fan of all the screens and the wood's a mismatch, I'd prefer a Shelby Cobra dashboard.

Never use maps or navigation apps/devices anyway.
yeah that looks like the security guy’s desk.

But vehicles 1and 2! It looks like that svelte coupe broke its back, got put on prednisone and ate doughnuts on the couch for a year!

Speaking of cars. Did they hook you up with a new one? :bigjoint:
USAA said its damage was 1,750 , i had to wait for a drug test to come back because no auto body would accept it since it was hotboxed they were concerned something else maybe in it

just cannabis found so they told USAA that the damage was about 18,000

a wee bit different than USAAs "adjuster" claimed.

so theyfinally total lossed it last night I should get settled outend of nextweek HOPEFULLY should someone not cause anymore delays
and than Ima go buy something else

I dont "love"anything on the current market.
so im not sure..

i absolutely love a good boxy car ...theyre amazing. so much room.
I prefer function over form too and lots of small cars use the space way better than big ones do, I had a friend with an Austin mini and it had an amazing amount of room and storage for all kinds of small things. With electric, small means cheap too, less mass and less battery with easier charging at home.

I need a hatch back 100% because I do like markets so i need to fit 6 foot tent (that collasps) my market tables and all my stuff I sell, thats a large portion of my job from spring to christmas.

I dont like too long of vehicles, i dont like a big back, nor a long front. I really dont like how every car just looks very rounded,
I prefer to have just the rearview camera, no driver assist, and bluetooth car play I dont wanna have to plug in my fucking phone everytime i get in thedamn thing.

I like not too small, but not big. and i like to go fast...
Im kinda picky, and im kinda thinking like... theres nothing on the market except what I had with what i loved. and im super bummed.

Awesome. I thought about going through USAA, but didn't know how well they took care of their customers. That's awesome news considering, :bigjoint:

i would stay far far away

i love NAVY fed, i have my business banking etc all through them but they dont have their own auto insurance.
otherwise i would entirely go through them,

USAA has dramatically gone down the shitter, they have several whistleblowers right now saying theyre doing stuff thats against the law. etc

Same here. Hate how all cars have gotten super round. I just saw a commercial for a new CRV and it looks like they've made it way less round. From the quick shots I saw they looked better than any other CRV I've seen so maybe they're going back towards less rounded corners.

I thought I'd heard some horror stories. Now I know I made the right decision not to switch I guess, :bigjoint:

I was just reading about this cheap option for an EV 260mile range and charge from home, or slow charge on the road. A hatchback with lots of room and a good review from this guy.

You sound like my wife when it comes to cars. She hates to drive my camry because it's too long. She has both the c class and regular Prius. The c class is too small, but you may like the regular Prius. It does all the things you need.
