I think I used 3 males to one female. I still have seeds left from RSC as well.

cool man should be pretty diverse but it looked like the mother plant turned out fairly well as a desirable cultivar, not a bad preservation at all... please update if that seed that dropped ends up being a female and what the smoke test turns out like... if it happens, id love to know more about the effects of that type of cultivar

The plant on the left is the seed that sprouted in the pot. The one on the right is the original mother that I revegged. They've both been outside in those small pots all summer and pretty much neglected. Just watered with the hose and fed a couple times a month since they've been outside. The one on the left is a little droopy as it was bone dry this morning. Neither has started to show any signs of flowering or sex but I know the one is female. I can't bring them inside as they're too tall to deal with at this point. My plan was always to keep them going just to take clones to use indoors.
I'm going to take clones and start flowering those as soon as they root. I'm going to reverse one of the original mother clones and make feminized seeds so if in the future I want to use it in a cross I won't have to hope for a female. If the other one turn out to be male I'll keep one clone and use the pollen on some other stuff.
I want to reproduce and save seed from as many landraces as I can but I also want to use them in hybrids as well.

Actualy looks nice outdoors, looks like you did a good job. You can see that drooping leaf type expression that you used to see on some of the old big outdoor grown thai strains. I bet it would look very beautiful grown to full tree size outdoors in a tropical environment and sun. @xtsho how have you found them potency wise from your experience with them so far please, in comparison to the more potent sativas you may have come across. And would the effect be more dreamy or of a more racy mind rushy type ? Thanks.

I have 15+ strains from them and so far have only grown their Afgaan 90. It didn't yield much, had an earthy/diesel smell with skunk in the background. No sweetness. It also hermied toward the end of its flower cycle. It wasn't good enough for me to grow more right away but not bad either. I will probably grow it again based off the fact its reputed to have no paranoia associated with it. At some point I will try it and see...

From what you found the afghan90 sounds decent.
From the sounds of it afghan90 should be a heirloom strain, i would have thought some work would have been done initially to clean up the raw form. Did you find alot of pollen heads towards the end or just a couple. Thanks

A bunch. Clusters of them. They were basically useless. I did find about 6 or 7 seeds in my 89 NL, which was growing right next to it. I pulled off the bannaners and very little pollen was released. The plants now smells like sweaty socks and chocolate, with a hint of real roadkill skunk in the background. The odor when wet did have a real non-sweet fuel smell to it if you picked open the buds. Very little of that has remained in the drying/curing process and I think it has to do with the fact I harvested early. If it is a mild, non-anxiety producing high.. its exactly what I'm looking for, and yes its an heirloom which is much more my cup of tea than all these landraces i bought from them several years ago... hope that helps

From the little bit that I got to smoke it was pretty good. The plant had well past it's time and had been somewhat overfed so it was pretty ragged when I finally chopped it down. I would say the high wasn't really dreamy and it wasn't mind racing either. I found it to be very close to the description on the RSC website "The high was described by a grower in Hawaii as “potent but unique in providing a clear conscious expansion with a calm quality.” More centered effects, in other words, than the Isan and Lao strains which produced ‘Thai stick’. "
I'll grow a couple of clones over the winter just for smoking. I was mainly focused on reproducing the seeds as I am with all landraces I grow for the first time. I should have some decent plants to show in the coming months.

Just wanted to update you guys on my buddy's Palmyra THCV since there is zero info on the forums about it. He said he had two females but gave one away to another guy we know because it was growing big and he ran out of space, so I'll see if I can track that one down and see how it's doing too. This plant is a late bloomer, it seemed pretty unimpressive at first, but now the buds are really filling out nicely and there is a lot more resin on them than I thought. It's hard to see because of the yellow light, but when I got a different light over them for the closeup, I got a little excited.
The branch on the left goes way, way further lol. Sorry for the bad pic, I just snapped a few quickies.

Its the same one going around that afew breeders have from the big underground seed vault. I think franco may have originally sourced them and donated them to the vault but im not sure on that.
If you try them try to get a full 10/12 pack(or what ever it is) as some plants can be not so great. You have to look for the good ones. Its still very raw and defo uncontaminated, just needs some work on it. But if someone puts the effort into it im sure something very good can come out of it. Its the same one tlrt sell as congo red stem.
I know a couple of people who have tried it. I think it needs full tropical sun in its current state to get the best out of most plants. I can see with a good one it would probably work really well with c99.

Palmera (Congolese IBL), I think it's around 10 weeks now. This plant has been tough, easy to grow, and looks to be a top yielder, very impressed with it. It can also take getting absurdly close to the light without bleaching, which I've seen before in equatorial landraces.

I wish I would have known how sought after Blueberry would end up being. It was being grown by lots of people around here years ago. Cuts were not hard to come by. It would be hard to prove it was from the initial strain though. Nobody would believe me if I had a cut I had kept around for 40 years.
