Attorney General Garland confounds some legal experts with another special counsel, this one to investigate classified documents found at President Biden’s home and old office. Critics of Garland say appointing a Trump-picked U.S. attorney is all about “optics”. Justice Correspondent for The Nation Elie Mystal joins “The Beat with Ari Melber” saying “Garland should appoint a special prosecutor to be the Attorney General of the United States… because Garland can’t do the job.” Mystal adding “Tell me the public official that Merrick Garland can investigate that won’t claim that they should get a special prosecutor, too?”

Think about it (OK, so maybe I'm asking for too much from you). He said the media, both sides, are biased and not trustworthy. Then he said he "does not follow the news a lot". So, yeah, it was an ignorant opinion.

I'll stand by that as an accurate assessment.

Yes, you did. Then again, I left a word out, so the fault is mine.

"further discussion on this matter would just a dumbass back and forth with no possible resolution."

"would just be a dumbass back and forth" is what I meant to say. I don't know how it could be interpreted as an insult to whats his face but I'll admit to a mistake on my part.

I guess the main question is, does a Vice President have the same authority as a President? Either way isn’t the statute 5 years? Which means it’s likely Republican’s will suggest impeachment. Impeachment ain’t no thang anymore though so let’s see what happens

Just because something was marked as classified, doesn't mean it is still classified - if President Obama thought about declassifying them, they are no longer classified - right? Just put President Obama under oath and ask him. I'm sure the special counsel will get it figured out in short order.

you may be on to something. The deflection and the hiding of the discovery played off as “aids and lawyers notified the appropriate channels right away” when we’re just now hearing about it months later has the potential to backfire though

Ignorant, cynical posts that claim there is no good information available from news based reporting should be treated as the pabulum of the brainwashed tools of the MAGA fascist movement that they are.

I explained my reasons. You showed up with a declarative statement without justifying it. Not shaming you just saying your post was just a piss in the wind. Close your eyes when you do that.
