I guess the main question is, does a Vice President have the same authority as a President? Either way isn’t the statute 5 years? Which means it’s likely Republican’s will suggest impeachment. Impeachment ain’t no thang anymore though so let’s see what happens

Most national security legal experts dismissed the former president’s suggestion that he could declassify documents simply by thinking about it. But as an

legal guidelines support his contention that presidents have broad authority to formally declassify most documents that are not statutorily protected, while they are in office.”
