About autoflower clon efficiency.

Hey dear friends. My Fastbuds GSC plant has completed 1 month. I think it will start to bloom after 1 week. I'm a little undecided if getting a clone from Autoflower is worth it. I also do not have a clone gel. I've heard that mixing the gel from the Aloe Vera plant with the water and cloning the plant with this mixture is efficient. The healing property of the Aloe Vera plant was beneficial for root formation.

Do you think it is possible to regrow this genetics continuously by taking 1 clone from each plant? Will there be a loss of yield? I'm curious about your ideas.

As already mentioned, it is possible but totally foolish! It will go into flowering at the same time that the plant you took the cutting from will go into flowering, the plant will not even have time to stabilize in the pot it will go straight into flowering so basically skipping all the vegetative for that clone and you will have 3g of dried flower from that plant (if you are lucky)

Sometimes yes that will happen. Sometimes it'll veg for a bit. It'll always be smaller than the mother. Trick is to take a cut as soon as possible in veg, root in 5 days under 24hr light then keep under 24 hr light and feed veg nutes. It's a fun experiment if you have time. If you're good, and the genetics are in your favour it's totally doable ... Worth it. ? Not really. Fun learning exp? Yes.

Is this based on chance? I've seen people in some comments say that they have successfully grown clones from autoflower, almost reaching the size of their mother. I took clone 2 days before started bloom. I cut the smallest branch that I thought would not get light. Frankly, it doesn't make sense to me that such a small branch will start blooming right away without completing its physiological development. I respect your experience, I just wanted to try it.

I cut the stem at a 45 degree angle, it has been sitting in aloe vera water for 24 hours. (2cm submerged in water) Also, as it dries, I spray and seal the top of the bottle. There is a white formation where I cut it, I think it will not give up and root.

It doesn't make much sense to me that such a small plant would flower when it move into the ground. I hope it start re-veg stage. If it's really going to yield 3 grams, I won't take an autoflower clone again and gain some experience. :D

It does, because with an autoflower, the clock starts ticking from the time of germination. Taking a clone does not "reset" the clock.
Hope that makes sense.

I've had half-decent luck with autos over the years, but only managed maybe a few autos that ended up being monsters. I think to make cloning an auto really worth trying, you'd have to start with an exceptional plant that just grows maniacally from the start and take the clipping well before it's internal clock tells it to bloom. Size doesn't really factor into whether or not a plant will flower. Whether the trigger comes externally from sunlight duration for a photoperiod, or from the internal circadian rhythm of an auto, when the trigger comes it's gonna bloom. I've had a few ridiculous runt autos over the years that I refused to cull just to watch them finish up for shits and giggles. Had a few that started flowering at like 3" tall and stretched to maybe 6". Think I got about a good joint worth out of each.

I understand. So do i have a chance to get seeds from this clone by any method? this is fastbuds GSC plant. I really like the seeds of this producer. I wanted to clone it as the seed supply and the probability of getting through customs is really difficult in my country. Otherwise I wouldn't care. If this clone is rooted and there is a way to get some seeds from it, I'd like to try it.

This is exactly why I don't grow autos.

Also, girl scout cookies is clone only. If someone is calling a batch of seeds "GSC", they're just trying to make sales on names alone.

why bother with cloning autos- Some may not agree with this but here goes if its for your self stress a plant to the max and hermi it - auto seeds for next 5 years then you get tossers saying they are breeders selling shit product in the market then do a runner and start all over again( this happens with photos as well) if for sale grow a mother photo/female and clone a way
