Examples of GOP Leadership

i don't think either one of them will get anything like that, I'd be happy with clarence the fuck off of the bench, and ginni forever stripped of any influence she once had...for them to have to sit on the sidelines, trying to maintain their anonymity, because they know they are hated, justly.
That’s a good start.

However, considering Uncle Thomas had thirty years to shape national policy, (should he be convicted of felonious misuse of the office) he should be subject to the full fury of the law, and in unredacted public view.

It’s important that the current diffidence in the rule of law be positively discharged. Imo.

Otherwise, this dystopian scenario is made real.

Federal judge limits Biden administration contact with social media platforms
A federal judge blocked Biden administration officials Tuesday from communicating with social media companies, as two Republican state attorneys general challenge the legality of the administration’s efforts to curb disinformation.

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, who was appointed by former President Trump, granted a preliminary injunction barring a wide swath of officials from the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Justice, the State Department and the FBI from communicating with the companies.

The Republican attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri are suing the administration over what they describe as a “campaign of censorship,” in which the Biden administration allegedly “coordinated and colluded with social-media platforms to identify disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and content.”

They argued that administration officials’ public and private communications with social media companies about removing content related to COVID-19 vaccines and public health measures, election integrity and other topics violated the First Amendment.

The attorneys general pointed to various calls by the 2020 Biden campaign and later the Biden administration, as well other Democratic lawmakers, to reform Section 230 over the spread of disinformation, which the lawsuit characterized as “threats” and a “campaign of pressure.”
Section 230 waives social media companies’ liability for content posted on its platforms by third parties.

They also cited efforts by the Biden administration to work with social media companies to rein in COVID-19 and election disinformation, which the suit described as “collusion.”

Under the injunction, Biden administration officials cannot email, call, send letters, text or meet with social media companies “for the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech posted on social-media platforms,” Doughty ruled.

However, Biden administration officials are still permitted to communicate with the platforms about criminal activity, national security threats, threats to public safety and posts “intending to mislead voters about voting requirements and procedures.”

The hypocrisy of republicans has been revealed so many times that it's not even an accurate description anymore...How does one keep "revealing" that which is common knowledge?
While texas republicans are bleating non stop about states rights and big government interference, they're violating cities rights, and interfering in their right to administer themselves as they see fit, because they don't see the same things as "fit".

This could fit in different threads. Now if other Republicans can see the light.

Former GOP rep, Jan. 6 select committee adviser working with Hunter Biden legal team
Former GOP Rep. Denver Riggleman (Va.), who also served as an adviser to the House select committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot during the past term of Congress, is working with the legal team for Hunter Biden.

CBS News reported Tuesday that that Riggleman is primarily helping the legal team with assessing data issues and has helped the attorneys deal with congressional inquiries and Republican claims about Biden’s actions.

Kevin Morris, an attorney for Biden, told CBS that Riggleman has been working with the team since late last year on data analysis.
“He is an invaluable resource, and we have made tremendous strides in untangling the massive amount of corruption and disinformation involved in this story. There will be much more coming to the public,” Morris said.

Riggleman told the outlet that his forensics, data and telephony team is working with Biden’s attorneys, focusing on “data across the spectrum.”
Those with knowledge of the Biden legal team told CBS that Riggleman has become part of Biden’s inner circle, and he has given insight into House Republican tactics.

The Hill has reached out to an attorney for Biden for confirmation.
Court papers filed last month revealed that Biden plans to plead guilty to two counts of willful failure to pay income tax as part of a plea agreement that will likely keep him from serving any jail time. He also will enter a diversion agreement on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon stemming from his possession of a firearm while being an addict.

If Biden follows the terms of the diversion program, the charge will likely be removed from his record. He is likely to only receive a sentence of probation for the tax charges.

Republicans have slammed the agreement, arguing that it lets Biden off too easily and shows a separate system of justice from the Justice Department for certain individuals.

They have also pointed to the claims from a possible IRS whistleblower, Gary Shapley, who alleged that Biden received preferential treatment in the probe into him and that the investigation was intentionally slow-walked.

An attorney for Biden denounced the claims from Shapley and another possible whistleblower in a letter to the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee on Friday, arguing that it was an attempt to spread misinformation about the president’s son.

Those with knowledge of Biden’s legal team told CBS that Riggleman was at the Four Seasons hotel in Washington, D.C., with Biden’s attorneys Monday and was present at the White House as one of the members of Biden’s team invited for Fourth of July celebrations.

Wow...How did so much stupid get packed into one person?
The office of the president carried weight when Obama was in it, gravitas, dignity...It does the same now with Biden...The whole trump period was like Benny Hill was elected president, except i laugh at Benny Hill because he's funny on purpose, and much less pathetic than trump.
