What have I done!! Defoliated my autoflower! Help

Hi all

so basically I decided to defoliate my cheese autoflowers this morning and I immediately regret it.
Please can anyone with experience have a look at what I have done and tell me if my girls will recover..

they were very short to start with but had lots of leaves so I cut away a few to let some extra light in.

How old are these? What kind of light are you using? Need more information. They do look small to me that being said they look very healthy.

Hi, thanks for your response.
Sorry I didn’t add the important information. They are 25days old today since they sprouted out the ground. They are under two “1000w” Cheap Chinese LED grow lamps. They seem to not have stretched atall which I find strange as they generally are healthy looking.

I just repotted them into those 5g fabric pots as their original pots got to small for them.. I read that you should pot them into the pots you intend to finish them in from the get go but obviously I didn’t do that but I don’t feel my pots are a problem as they seem to be drying out sufficiently, feed them every 1-2 days . I’m more concerned about (1) they don’t seem to be stretching and (2) have i defoliated to much, if so is there anything I can do to help them along?

They look overwatered to me. If they've been that way consistently, that could stunt their growth. I've not grown autos, but I don't see why you couldn't do transplants with them. You just gotta be careful. As far as defoliation, they're still small. It'll grow back. Just don't take any more off for a while.

Ive noticed with those blurple lights when I used them years ago the plants stayed relatively short and bushy like your pics. The plants I grew with those lights werent the best producers but the bud was absolute fire, I noticed that those cheap blurple lights pack on extra trichomes, really frosty buds. Anyways, good luck keep us posted.

You repoted them and after took some leaves. The plants are under stress. Keep going like till now with watering they will start again after week hopefully.
Don't take leaves anymore leave them for i wile.
And for short problem put your light 10 cm higher they will start stretching, but do this after i week.

Zero reason to start hacking on it that young - looks to be a indica leaning plant anyways ( bush ) - fussing over every little thing will bring in issues. Sometimes its best to just let them set up their structure/ root properly and not be “ overloved “ and overwatered.

Sure those blurple lights might be be a less than stellar option but just let it do what it is gonna do.
Keep screwing around with it , can stunt or stress it.

Save the “ grow tricks “ for later.

Run that setup as - is … meaning just growing plant under your current setup to then see how well plant can do with basic care - then improve the weaknesses in your grow environment. Start screwing with things just will introduce things that wouldn’t have happened.

usually chinese lights where they say "1000w" it's because they consider 1 watt led = 10 real watts so it's surely a 100w
the fabric pot still makes me doubt (i know from where it is)
but i could be wrong

I agree with what you say about the lights.. not sure what you mean about the fabric pots?

yes sorry I expressed myself badly, I said that I had bought fabric pots in a Chinese site and that they looked like these, hence my suspicion that the lamp is the same specifications as those they sell

I started with a Mars blurple because that's all there was at the time..the good ol ufo days lol..I added some timber cobs a few years later then a few years ago got a china samsung 281qb and I love it. Led have exponentially gotten better. Autoflower is great and convenient for personal use I've had some 4ft tall,it's all about the genetics.
