peruvian torches?

I just ordered a half pound of powered peruvian torch canvas I have never tried mescaline before and have read that the dosage I am going to want is about 30 grams. I have read up on it alot on erowid and it seems pretty safe. I know it tastes very bad and will mess up my stomach for about an hour. for a 12-16 trip seems like a fair price to me. I was just wondering if anyone here has taken it and how they liked it what was your dose and so on any info would be useful seeing as I have never takn it.

Wow i'm sure if you just googled "peruvian torch cactus" you'd find it for sale within the first 3 links. Anyways, mescaline is an amazing spiritual drug have fun with it.

I got it on ebay but I think you can get it at bouncing bear botanicals I know you can get it at wholesaleshamonicherbs.com but ebay is the cheapest you can also get san pedro cactus. I ordered it friday and should be getting it in a couple days I will let you all know how it is after this next weekend

are you planning on eating the powdered cactus straight? i have a san pedro growing that im gonna extract the mescaline from when its big enough. its a fairly simple process to extract the mescaline.

what about the chemicals you need are they easy to get? I found a site today but it sounded complicated and I didnt recognize the chemicals so I figured they were not easily gotten if they are where?

yeah would be great but I dont have the time or patiance to try to get a hold of the stuff by friday and have already made up my mind to take it then but will help for next time

I did the same thing a couple years ago. Ordered a QP powedered off eBay. Shit tastes horrible and when you boil it, it turns into a green slimy sludge that is hard to get down. I opted to put it in large get tabs, but ended up having to swallow 80+ geltabs, which made me gag after about number 40. My friend drank the sludge, god bless him, cause I used up all the gel tabs. We took about 40 grams each.

We felt pretty sick for the first hour and a half or so, then we felt amazing. Interesting visuals, more a kaleidescope of images, not fractal shapes like acid or shrooms. I kept seeing patterns of cactuses everywhere...maybe just a coincidence. In the end tho, I think I have tripped harded off one hit of acid, and I have a high tolerance.

In the end we both wished we had doubled our dose...but the thought of getting that much down is less than plesant. One note on dose though...I'm 6'2", about 225 and my friend is a 6'4" Samoan so we might need more than you average bear.

But, if I were you, if your gonne go to the trouble, try more than 30 grams.

wow more than thirty is scarey and from what I have read this stuff really creeps up on you but what the hell right? If you are gonna trip might as well do it right, I love tripping I have had a number of exp. with acid and i loved every one of them altho I will admit I am always ready to come back to sanity I have always believed that a good trip is a mind cleansing exp. with the musheys it seems I always take more than everyone else but every time it is like I always thought I should have taken more. I might take your advice but think I will read through erowid a bit more before I decide on a dose, thanks for the info though that is what I was looking for is someone that had already done it and it sounds like you had a good time although the dosing problems I will let you know what happens and give you + rep thanks agian for the help

Why dont you do an isopropyl extraction. You can reduce the volume by about 90%, fairly simple too.

Soak over a 24 hour period, mason jars are great
let separate into layers and pour off, collect dark liquid
Evaporate with a fan outside, scrap tar and encapsulate, 3 pulls with get all the goodies

I would say use about 1 and a half liters per 100g of cactus. You could probably get away with less if you heat the alcohol in a hot water bath (NO OPEN FLAMES). You will be left with plant fats and oils, and some goodies ;).

Make sure to do the math, if you started with 100g of cactus and resulted with 5g of tar then 1g of tar equals about 20g of cactus.

have you used this method before? this is the first time ive heard of extracting mescaline like that.

I watched that video, but I have some questions as to what is happening.

So put the powder into some "base water" (NaOH + water) and that forms the sludge. I'm assuming the mesc chemical changes conformation when in a basic solution, and becomes soluble in the Xylene (not soluble in water as we see). Then the addition of acidic water (HCl + water) changes the mesc chemical's conformation so it comes out of the xylene and is water soluble again.

And then the boiling down part I get.

Ive never done it, but I watched my friend do it and he was flipping out for like a whole day. He said he saw demons in the ceiling, and he was a fraid to walk through this dark alley we have to walk thru on a daily basis
