How are things looking?

I am having the realization that both my plants are full of seeds.

All the fat swollen bud looking features are hard and have a seed inside. They're not in all the stems but easily half and there is more on fork than spoon.

What did I do wrong? Can I change the course of this by pinching them off? Is this it and I cut them down?
You did nothing wrong but it's surprising you would have seeds this early in flower. Search fork for male flowers, they are pretty distinct. One or both may have them. Otherwise it's agricultural hemp pollen from a farm or pollen from a neighboring hobbyist. Either way, it is what it is. Seeded bud is still great bud except for the seeds, so I would complete the grow just for the experience.

What shnk said! Definitely complete the grow. Pollen can travel quite the distance. It doesn't reduce potency but will drop your yield a small amount although based on the size of your plants that's probably a feature and not a bug :D

I'd also save and grow the seeds. Nothing wrong with free seeds. Just have to clean the sees from the bud. I recommend a metal screen sieve.

Thanks guys, I'll try to see them through then. I'm not seeing anything male on either plant... but I'm new at this, so I'll see if I can get some more pictures.

I did go through and pick off as many seeds as I could find while crying though. This is not my fucking year. I need to sit in a box filled to the top with 6 week old puppies.
It's been hard for you. You've shown some real perseverance in the face of bitter disappointments. I'm impressed by you. This cannabis thing, try it indoors with a smaller plant, it's easier but these will turn out very nice for you. Hang in there

Wow you just started to barely bud on the 18th now you got full blown seeds going? I would say someone is dumping a lot of pollen right next to you within a couple hundred ft. Thats not something that drifted in from miles away.

At this point I think I'd try to find who's the daddy just to determine if the seeds are worth saving. But that's me, in Michigan, where you can't currently give the stuff away.

I really pored over my plants and I really don't see any male features anywhere at all. I continued to pick off seeds. I feel so sad. Could this have happened because I didn't get them in the ground soon enough?

Not unless one or more hermied due to stress. That's my opinion. If it turns out to be the bomb you might be sorry you didn't nurture the seeds. Especially since you haven't had mold or other issues.

You did a good job. It happens.

Its not you and you should still get plenty of good bud off that plant! I intentionally pollinate all my plants, get a few dozen seeds, more or less, and plenty of good smoke. Both indoors and outdoors. And even if there are many seeds, the weed can be stellar!

Frankly I miss the pinhole burns in my shirts and the sound of seeds popping. The good old days before sinsemilla ruined everything!

Those are all flowers, seeded or not. When an individual flower is pollinated the tip of the white pistil will wither and turn red. You can see that in your first pic but it is spotty and you have an army of unpollinated flowers forming your buds. Unless you see all those pistils turning red right away you're going to be fine, with a few more seeds to germinate or give away.

What is the likelihood of like.... all these flowers swelling up into seeds? I have picked some of the little ones and dissected them, they have what looks like flower stamens inside instead of a seed. Are those likely on trajectory to stay a flower?

Iike I said, the pistil tips are your guide to what has been pollinated. Even unpollinated ovules swell as they mature so that is what you should most hope to see. I'm betting you are going to have a terrific harvest. Please keep showing us your grow no matter what. It's part of what makes this site useful to many people and you have a natural talent for documentation.

I think you’re mistaking female calyx/bracts for seeds….are these seeds you’re finding at the lower branch internodes? At the end of the day, there is nothing you can do if your plants are pollinated. Did you actually find any developed seeds? It is very early in flowering to have mature seeds already. Are you finding any pollen sacs/male parts?

Yeah, every one I pick off I pick apart too. Some of them have the little baby part of the plant already formed inside the seed. The shells are firm and still green but they have that very distinctive shape
