Yeah, but I kind of just want it Already made so I know it's done right. I'm willing to pay up to $1000 for one.
I would argue that the first one i built was of better quality than these pre built ones. The one i built was too small. But this is the exact one I bought and works killer. And trust me you will want a 2’ x 4’. Get a smaller one you’ll regret it the next day.
They’re always sold out though :-(

I've been getting trich on my substrate before any colonization Which is still leaving me mind boggled If it's not my L c or my spawn, then it's the substrate or my environment during colonization or spawn. I've been bucket tekking my c v g and then putting it in a turkey bag and cooking it at 16 psi for 2 and a half hours and still getting trich. My boxes are sealed up in a grow tent but there's carpet in the room and a space heater, Maybe the space heaters picking up s*** off the carpet And it's going through the cracks in the zippers in the tent. I usually go inside the tent and make up. The box is also so there's no air flow. Who knows. I am saving for a flow hood though And doing my lc a bit different. Maybe switch to bags here soon. I'll get it figured out. It's just fuckin frustrating as I'm sure you guys know.

This is the recipe i use but I PC for 30 min sometimes 35min if i’m feeling crazy.
1500 ml water
30ml Karo
2.5 grams peptone
3.7 grams light malt extract
PC for 25min 15psi
Cooking up 10 jars of this now. I didn't know you could get away with 25 minutes. I've been doing it for 45.

You do it too long the sugars caramelize. 35 is pushing it. I’ve fucked up and did it longer than that too and the broth came out def darker. Not sure it slowed down the colonization though but i like a more lighter broth that’s for sure
This is how dark that formula looks when pc’d for 30min. It can def vet allot darker if pc’d for longer

You need a flow hood and a change to #baglyfe. I’m pretty sure i got a huge spore load in my fruiting room. I don’t get shit for contams in bags in there but the tubs fail miserably.

Assuming each contains the same volume of colonized sub; as someone who doesn't know shit, I'd assume the increased surface area in the tub would amount to noticeably more yield than bags.

You’ll here from allot of heads that in those bags you’re trying to get 1/4lb after three flushes in the bags. With a good strain of course. The gandalf i been talking to you about get a good 80g’s dried first flush. Worst is like 70. About 25-28 days from when i load up the bags. About 1/2 that a couple weeks later, if i even do a second flush anymore.

1/4 the amount of grain spawn and 1/3 the amount of substrate from what i’d load up in a tub. i’d get 1/2lb from first flush in a 66qt monotub. Those three fruiting bags take up less space than a tub but naturally can’t stack em. So now you’re looking at racks to maximize space.

If you think about it in bags Everything is PC'd down to your fruiting chamber And never really exposed to air if you have a flow hood and bag sealer.

Up until the point of putting in the grain spawn.
Do it in front of a flow hood and have some decent technique, zero possibilities for contam.
When you chop down the first flush, in front of a flow hood, you cut the bag off about 1” above the cake. When you’re done, spray it, or add a cup of water and bottom water it, slip the bag back over and add another rubber band. It’s ready for a second flush and still protected.

I'm gonna try that Gandalf. I've grown like a 100 strains now. And it's really hard to pick a favorite.. trip wise I like natalensis. I'm really liking Hillbilly right now, it moves really fast and giving me a full canopy and rock hard stems. I wish u could get this enigma to fruit it's moving really slow.

What is the pH of your substrate?

I suggest a sectored dish with mea placed around the area and opened for documented times. You will get a good idea of the biology in there.

i’ve put a drop or two of my well water onto agar and zero problems. My well water is around 7.5-7.8ph pretty high. Only about .3 EC. Had it tested before no nitrates either. Good water. I’ve never tested the ph of my substrate once hydrated though.

The ph of my tap water is about the same. Around 7.5.
