I don't think he is getting disqualified,don't think SCOTUS has the balls not to mention 5 arch conservative agenda's having asses in 5 seats(it will be a bad look though ,the vote won't be a 9-0 harmony verdict,depending on CJ Stevens it's 6-3,5-4 ,so the split along ideology remains).The Jan 6. case is the only one w/a chance to effect the election IMO,I'd prefer the document case personally because he's dead to rights on that docket but this one and the others will be delayed by stalling,jury haggling,and every legal tactic known to man considering the source,like you I can't wait for the rats to show themselves.Anyone considering going down in honor of this "man" has undergone a lobotomy and only need the scant intellect to ask themselves what would trump do if the roles were reversed?

I agree,knowing the sources involved this is going to be a "slow boat to China" in resolving all these cases and a dizzying array of stall tactics,appeals,and any other obstructions deemed necessary will certainly be employed by a guy so at home in courtrooms it's akin to sitting in his lazy boy w/the fireplace glowing and rover at his feet. With all the hatred and division going down and impending potential violence that seems capable of causing civil disruption that will make the 60's look like a "love in" pre and post election .I'm starting to throw around the thought that if Biden is victorious he should consider a pardon for this asshole,while as unpalatable as a teaspoon of castor oil it would squash the martyr complex that surely will be employed,blow up all the conspiracy theories before they are born,reduce the chances of extreme violence,hopefully promote healing,Biden showing mercy might well be the potion America needs.Maybe I'm nuts,but the way all this is trending.....???

I guess I'm an optimist, but the tea leaves don't look good for Donald, IMO he is going down for everything and on time or close in DC. The great thing is we won't have long to wait for a couple of key rulings that might seal Donald's fate. I'm done with Donald until something happens in court.

Biden doing such a thing would set a bad precedent whose downside greatly exceeds any imagined temporary political gains. It would have the opposite effect of healing the nation.
- it would cheapen a criminal conviction of that insurrectionist
- it would not change maga minds, not elected ones nor the base
- it would strengthen maga’s belief in their own legitimacy/righteousness and prolong the national crisis.
I think the chances of Biden pardoning that man or any of his coconspirators are zero.

No pardon for attempted overthrow of government. No pardon for Trump or other insurrectionists. Pardoning him is weakness toward people who despise weakness. Nixon should not have been pardoned either. It was made in the interests of healing division and nothing of the sort happened afterward. In the next election, the majority of this country will vote for Biden and for democracy. The people we vote for must follow through with our mandate to protect democracy.
I view the trials of Trump and the pace at which the legal proceedings are going as "deliberate speed". We can take delays, deflections and Trump's diatribes. They are mostly harmless. What would be harmful are missteps that end in miscarriages of justice. So, I'm listening to gadflies like DIY as the counterpoint to Trump's MAGA posts. Both are wrong. Let our politics be what they are -- messy, noisy, confusing and dynamic. Let our justice system be none of that. Both are necessary.
